I am not feeling that blonde hair at all on her. I legit thought it was a wig she was wearing for a rehearsal of "That Don't Impress Me Much" or something before I clicked on the video. I want my classic brunette Shania back for the tour! :'(

Her tickets are obnoxiously expensive. I love her but there is no way in hell I'm paying 120 dollars to sit in the farthest section away from the stage... Like, wtf? I've never heard of nosebleed seats being over 100, they weren't even that expensive for Garth!
Edit: JK, bought the ticket... a friend talked me into it. But still, way too expensive for the seats we got, but I guess it's a once in a lifetime kinda thing, so YOLO...

A mutual friend told me that her husband had a large part in ticket price scaling along with the different venues.

This woman puts the younger generation of singers/performers to shame.

My guess is that the song is one she would categorize under "harder to sing." In a recent pre-tour interview, she said there are probably some songs she can sing better now and some songs she can't sing. I'm sure Forever and For Always is one of those - and I only say that because her range stays in the higher areas for 95% of the song. For a tour that is this demanding schedule wise, it probably would be difficult on her voice. Same with "The Woman In Me" - Shania said before Vegas that it is one of her favorite songs she has ever written and recorded. It probably is to trying on her voice. Hense, the beautiful instrumental

As much as I am all about this tour (seeing it in Detroit) and the new music coming our way (hopefully), she needs to go back to brunette...its AWFUL

There is a special promotion on Ticketmaster today from 10AM - 10PM EST for $20 tickets for her tri-state area shows (Madison Square Garden, Prudential Center in NJ, and Nassau Coliseum on Long Island)!!!
Just got 4 tickets for MSG and they are decent seats at a fraction of the price. If I can't find people to go, I'm definitely re-selling them.

Glad the tour is doing well so far. I'm totally not happy that Forever and For Always was excluded. Wasn't it the biggest hit from Up? I guess i'll get over it because no telling if she'll ever tour again. So at least I get to here 10 other songs I really like!

As this supposedly is her last tour, it would be nice if she included at least one track from the first album (even if she's not that connected to it).

There is no reason for her to do that. That album wasn't successful, none of the singles were successful and except for the fantastic, "God Ain't Gonna Get Ya For That," she did not pen any of them. I would hate it if she played a song from that album and skipped one from TWIM, COO, or Up.

She didn't sing "Forever and For Always" in Vegas nor is she singing it on tour. Maybe it was a personal song for her and Mutt and it's too hard on her to sing live again. It is a shame though as it is one of her bigger charting hits. I hear it a lot in stores music when I'm out shopping too. So the song has stood the test of time.

I actually think that the song is a few keys too high for her to sing now. She would have to re-arrange it. I'm definitely not opposed to that, but if you listen for when she really hits notes (see "Endless Love" and parts of the duet with Paula Fernandez), you'll notice the key is much lower. Personally, that's where I've always enjoyed the richness of her voice, when she's singing from the chest and not the nose. For some reason, Mutt raised her key for the Up! album, and I've never understood that. She sounds much better on The Woman In Me, especially on the title track and the ballads on the back of the album.

Yeah, I can see why she included it since it's her most recent single, but I would've rather her included something like "If It Don't Take Two" if "Forever and for Always" is out of the question.

matty- so what if it wasn't successful? ()the album eventually was certified platinum, though, mind you). She's performed the other so much as it is. I don't see what the big deal would be to include at least one track from the album.

I don't see what the big deal would be to include at least one track from the album. Because 90% of the crowd will not want to hear it. They want to hear the songs that ruled the airways during the 90s and early 00s. I would LOVE a concert where she played songs such as, "Leaving Is The Only Way Out," "Raining On Our Love," "Life After Love," "I Won't Leave You Lonely," among MANY others, but she knows that most people attending want her to play the hits.

I get what you're saying, but if they're fans, they will be happy hearing whatever she performs. One song isn't going to make people leave their seats and the building.

I finally watched her Vegas on show on Blu Ray the other day.
WOW! Growing up in my teens during the Shania era....the Vegas concert was an amazing 2 hours of memories and massive hits to sing along to. SO much fun to watch.

According to Twitter, Shania nearly caught her cape on fire a few nights ago during the beginning of, "Man! I Feel Like A Woman!" Fans in the fan club said that she looked a bit in shock and missed a few words in the beginning because of it. That is one queue that she probably would not want to mess up. Critics and fans alike have been giving the tour really good reviews overall though, so that's a plus.
In regard to Shania not singing a song from her debut album - Shania is one of those artists who could sing every non single, and yet SO MANY people would know each and every word. I really do wish that Shania would do at least one fan club party (like during CMA Fest) in the future and give that kind of a show where she sang some rare album cuts. I do think this is truly her last tour. I would love to see her and Faith or even Dolly do some kind of co-headlining tour. Or, even a show similar to the Reba/Brooks&Dunn residency in Vegas.

It apparently is not a good year to don capes. I also wouldn't mind "You've Got a Way"- or, better yet, "It Only Hurts When I'm Breathing." Maybe she'll do a stray performance of then through the tour- has she ever just performed a track or two, that wasn't part of the regular setlist, on past tours?

I agree, I would love to hear, "You've Got A Way." That is one of my all time favorite songs in all of music. The video is beautiful as well, but that is a whole different topic. I have never actually seen Shania stray from the set list on previous tours. One of her band mates, Cory Churko also played a lot with Kelly Clarkson on her tours once Shania went on hiatus. He described Shania as having a very structured show, where she goes to a lot of the same places on the stage each night, and the set list does not move. Whereas, Kelly's is more free-flowing in that she may throw in a different song every now and then and the routines are less permanent.
However, Shania did add in fan requests during the campfire segments of the Vegas show on some nights. She sang a verse of "Party For Two," "Forever And For Always" and acapella versions of "From This Moment On" and "Any Man Of Mine" on the first few shows when they ran over 90 minutes. Fan requests are not actual additions to the set; but it did add some rare spontaneity to the night. Which, looking back, might have been her intention because she has referred to the Colosseum as a "static" environment in comparison to hometown arenas on a tour.

I missed this tweet from Billy Gilman earlier in the month, but saw it today. There were rumors posted by an online Canadian news place that said Billy Gilman would open for Shania's second leg on the Rock This Country tour. Billy confirmed that those were just rumors. Dang it, I've always liked him.
