This was the first single from her album, "The Makings of Me." It was produced by Jermaine Dupri. It peaked at #48 on the Hot 100, #20 at rhythmic, and #11 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles chart. This was laughable, coming from her. Awful single choice. She's not too fond of this song either.

I loved it in 2006, but I never listen to it anymore. It's a laughable mess.

NGL, I bumped this. Yes, it was a terrible song for her, but I liked how she went hood on us. Lol

Monica was always hood. lol. She wanted her image and music to reflect that. It worked for the After The Storm era.
As for the song, I enjoyed it around the time she released the album. It was obvious JD recycled the beat from "Grillz".

Well, it was entertaining, I'll give it that. Maybe not in the best way though.
This also stuck out like a sore thumb on the album because there was nothing else like it.

It's catchy, but I was disappointed she was doing something so "of the moment".

Didn't expect her to come so hard after ATS, but damn, this was a bop.

This was a bop for sure but coming off After The Storm was a major disappointment.

Totally agree that this was an awful single choice. I prefer "A Dozen Roses" over this.

This was actually a low key bop that sounds better to me now than when it was released.
