This was from her album, "Discipline." It was produced by Jermaine Dupri and written by Ne-Yo. It was announced as the pop single after "Feedback," but I don't think it was ever sent to radio. This was my favorite song on the album.

My favorite single from that album, and quite possibly my favorite Janet single post-All For You.
I was really surprised when I found out Jermaine Dupri produced this, because it sounds nothing like his usual work.

Easily my favorite single from Discipline and my favorite post-All For You single by her too.
Definitely unexpected coming from JD. Sounds a lot like the opening to this song, but I don't think any actual sample credit was given.

This song still sounds Amazing. Hard to believe it was JD, but this was definitely ahead of its time. A couple years later and released as a lead single it would have been bigger than "Feedback" was.

Love the song and love the video. A little ahead of it's time, I guess....

I love it and it's a post-All For You Janet highlight for sure. She killed the choreography for this.
Regarding the production, while this was different coming from Jermaine Dupri at the time, I still don't think it's anything to write home about. Too repetitive.

The video is amazing. I still wish I could mimic those moves to this day.
However, it should NOT have been the 2nd single. 3rd or 4th instead.

I thought the video was neat, but other than that I've never been impressed much. It's too repetitive in a bad way and never goes anywhere. It's an ok mood track, but they never should have considered this as a single.

I forgot how great this was. It's her best from the album.

This was a amazing and agreed, best song on the album. I actually really love the video too.
Janet & this song deserved so much more chart wise, this was right before electronic music started getting big at radio. It did peak at #4 in the UK R&B chart though.

@jazzysoul47, what was that song title again? It's gone on YouTube.

*contented sigh*
I always loved this. Janet rarely disappoints with her videos. Even "Dammn Baby" makes expert use of a simple sound stage.

This is so good, one of my favs on that album. I love the repetition of it, along with the instrumental, kinda puts you in a trance. Loved the video as well.

The video is one of her best. Her footwork is incredible.

Revisiting this and it still sounds as good as it did the first time I heard it. Still one of my favorite tracks she's ever done.

The song still holds up so well!
Her makeup in the video makes her look like La Toya.
