okay but does this all really matter in life lmao Yes, it does. And if you don't give a s**t about this, you probably shouldn't even be posting on here. If Anastasia didn't give a s**t about Christian Grey, would she have kept coming back to him? I rest my case, shithead. Lol bye, please get out of here with that attitude.

The reason I, ss8, etc have been mentioning it is that Mariah fans (and clearly you are one yourself) on this thread have been making it seem like it's the end of the world if God forbid Uptown Funk breaks the record that she held since the last century. It's really not tbh. Idk about you but no hate was intended on our part. Tbh, while I would be happy to see Uptown Funk break the record because a) I love the song and b) it would be interesting to watch, at the end of the day I don't care if it breaks the record or not so by all means for all I care keep that damn record if it means that much to you. Just please don't start another brawl on here. That's all I ask of you. I've had enough of it already. And yes I do, in fact, I just came back from outside. He might be right You have made it clear to all that Uptown Funk should get the record and nothing should stand in its way. (In similar fashion, we all know how you feel about Dark Horse vs Happy - LOL ) There is one poster in particular that has been pretty successful in hammering home to all that Mariah should be saved. You appear to be doing the opposite. True, some have made comments in passing to the Mariah record but it is a small minority that appear to be making the most noise. Well let me clear the air once and for all: I am rooting for Uptown Funk to break the record, but I won't be devastated if it doesn't (bar some unfair 30-second Harlem Shake bullshit). In any case, the song has done very well and will quite likely become only the second song to get at least 15 weeks at #1 which is a great achievement in its own. May the best song win. What I'm more worried about is that Digital Songs record and reaching #1 on UAC LOL! With those I will be upset if it doesn't happen because it is sooooo close and IMO deserves it. Maybe someone should create a contract (like the FSOG one) that we all can sign, except instead of BDSM, the goal is to prevent "Uptown Funk" from breaking the record, no matter what we have to do. Sign the contract, please. OMG can you stop already? You've made your point crystal clear two threads ago. okay but does this all really matter in life lmao My thoughts exactly.

Some people have preferences about what should be #1 and what should not, but in real life (for most) - NO ONE CARES. Few people will invest time and money to manipluate a chart so that Mariah does not feel sad. It is not that important and it won't work anyway. For example, fan generated "download days" have been tried on some fan sites in the past and have never worked.

Rofl did the guy seriously just say yes it does matter in real life? Please tell me how a Billboard record will negatively impact your life, job, family, health, education, etc.

If you can't handle any attitude, you probably shouldn't look at the Internet forums, because you're always going to find someone with an attitude that you disagree with. Shut the fuck up.

I'm never going away. I'm here forever. We'll see. I'm here forever. Let me give you an analogy. In this case, you're Anastasia Steele and I'm Christian Grey. I'm dominating you by staying, and there isn't a thing I can do about it. If you struggle, I'll tie your feet too. Well, I won't literally tie your feet, but metaphorically.

Mark G. is a retarded shithead with an ugly face and an ugly personality, and he is probably singlehandedly responsible for the continued chart domination of Uptown Funk. See? Mark G. is now the one under attack again.

Just like Christian Grey. I don't know, it might have to do with the fact that you're calling people shitheads and telling them to shut the fuck up and whatnot. I know from experience that forums like this don't usually tolerate that.

I know that one person alone can't tamper with the charts (except for the "All of Me/Happy/Problem" debacle of last year), but a bunch of people working together can. So, I am asking EVERYONE on this forum to do everything in their power to make sure Uptown Funk never gets to 16 weeks. Otherwise, Mariah will be very sad. Is this what you want? LMAO. Okay...most should know/get exactly what youre doing. U prob. arent even a Mariah fan! lol

And even if EVERY SINGLE MEMBER of this forum bought idk, Sugar, it wouldn't change anything

Ok that was very interesting but now we have to get back to business. I can see See You Again possibly jumping into top 5 on 4/25...those sales are looking monstrous! It has the next-highest track at less than 40% ATM! :O

You know, ordinarily I'm not worried about giant #1s in sales, but now See You Again legitimately seems to be posing a threat. It's getting big sales boosts at the same time Uptown is getting severe drops, and the latter is now at 40% of the former, and that's after 2 and a half days. A music video is up on Facebook and is imminently towards YouTube for the 4/25 tracking week, and even then the lyric video seems to be gaining steam. The only thing holding it back is radio, but Uptown itself was able to overcome that the first week it beat Blank Space.

Uptown Funk is really close to getting a 4th format #1! On Urban AC, it decreased today and some little known song that is not on any other format or anywhere near the iTunes chart is holding it back :( luckily the #3 is still pretty far away. Well if it's #1 it's obviously not a "little known song" to fans of the radio format of which you are clearly not one... UF actually has more audience from UAC than the #1 song (or any other song for that matter) so clearly more of the fans of UAC listen to UF than to the other song. The DJ's of that just spin that song more hence why it is #1 because rankings on individual formats go by spin totals. Not just because of this scenario, but in general I feel like they should go with audience like they do with overall airplay. IMO it's a more accurate representation of the order of most popular songs on a given format... I realize this is an old post by now, but I really wanted to address the faulty reasoning here. 1) That "little known" #1 song is called "Nobody," ironically enough, but while the song may be "Nobody," its artist, Kem, is not. Kem has been releasing music for 12 years now; he has two gold albums and one platinum, a respectable and consistent showing for someone in his niche. "Nobody" is a single from his current fourth album and it should not be a surprise at all that it is currently #1 on UAC; you should not be amazed that its preceding single, "It's You," was also #1 on UAC; and it should not shock you that "Nobody" has been charting on UAC for over four months longer than UF has been on that chart. Kem is a veteran on that format and any regular UAC listener would immediately recognize his voice. 2) To re-emphasize allow that's point, "Nobody" is NOT a little known song to UAC listeners. Literally, that was his only point: any song receiving enough spins to be #1 on a format is going to be pretty familiar to that format's listeners. So there's no reason for you to try to dismiss it simply because you want Bruno to notch a #1 on a chart that - were it not for Bruno's presence on it - you would probably not even know exists and ignore as a whole for being little-known and having virtually no presence on the iTunes chart. 2a) Having the second-most airplay on a format is still enough that calling the song "little known" is an inaccurate statement for that format's listeners. 3) But even if airplay could indicate such a thing as popularity, Nobody's peak audience** on UAC is still more than UF's current audience on UAC, so your argument that more UAC fans like UF than "Nobody" is actually kind of shot anyway. UF! did not even pass "Nobody" in AI until last Sunday; if the chart were ranked by AI, that wouldn't make "Nobody" any less of a #1 other than to cut its run short by one week. If the last two days of small losses are any indication, UF! may have already peaked in UAC audience and spins, by the way...meaning that "little known" song will have been heard by more UAC listeners than UF ever was at any point. allow that said nothing about whether the song has more fans among UAC listeners (anyone knows that airplay alone could not indicate such a thing) but for some reason you are trying to pull his statement from one of familiarity to one of audience numbers indicating how many fans a song must have. The truth is, your entire argument was predicated on your view of UF!'s overall popularity as opposed to Kem's overall obscurity to the average mainstream listener; as a result, you fail to consider that smaller and typically slow-moving formats like UAC aren't necessarily going to mirror the Hot 100 or other formats in behavior. Frankly it is unnecessary and even kind of condescending to dictate how a format should behave when you don't even listen to it, let alone follow it and understand how that format and its listeners/fans tend to behave. **source: Kworb, which I think is reliably comparable enough to Mediabase to use as a source eta: i think by 'was it you' allow that meant 'was the previous business you/your posts'. not sure, though.

Ok that was very interesting but now we have to get back to business. Was it you? Did Riley end up running the IPs to prove you wrong? In any case, how do you gather that that is my account from "that was very interesting"? Maybe my comment meant that, while someone annoying, the trolling was quite amusing?
