I got the album yesterday. Haven't had a chance to listen to the album from start to finish yet. I have heard the first four, and previews of the rest. He is incredibly talented and I am glad we finally get to hear him sing. Jennifer of course was the lead of Sugarland, and Kristian got a few small chances to drop in vocals. It's funny because he did the "Incredible Machine - Interlude" track for the IM album, and I was not impressed at all. I guess all he needed was to get the solo project out to say, "this is me." And, according to the liner notes, there will be more solo KB albums down the road...which is what Jennifer said for her solo career as well. This, could possibly push back the chance of Sugarland getting back together.

This is a great record. "Light Me Up", "Make Another Memory" and "Walk Tall" are standouts, but the whole album is very good, and very commercial. This is definitely a radio-friendly album and I think "Light Me Up" can at least make the top 40.

I definently echo sabre's sentiment that it is radio friendly, but don't let that scare you away folks. This is the kind of radio friendly that is actually good lol

Not a Sugarland fan at all, but I would categorize this album as very "enjoyable". I was very surprised after streaming first on Spotify at how good the album is. I wouldn't say it is anything new, fresh or groundbreaking, but there really isn't a bad song. What I really found refreshing was the abundance of steel guitar laced throughout the album. I really wish more artists would tinker around with that. So many songs that are good, ruin them by adding a cheesy 80's hair band like guitar solo. I am constantly listening to these newer songs thinking to myself "if they just used some subtle steel or fiddle there, it would be perfect".
Low and behold, I downloaded the album today on Itunes. It's a great spring/summer listen. Kudos to Kristian.
