If it was a formula change, surely we would've seen more songs affected than these two 50SOG tracks. I'm thinking something happened with the soundtrack - removed from Spotify/some other major streaming service? Videos re-categorized on YouTube? Idk what, but those are pretty sudden, random streaming drops for songs that both still have great airplay + sales.

Definitely. There's no uproar on Uptown Funk so much as a "Ok I'm funked out." Plus the BEP had ANOTHER long-lasting number 1 hit. (Boom Boom Pow)

With "I Gotta Feeling", the discussion was more about whether it would tie or beat "We Belong Together" for the most weeks at #1 in the 2000's.
