Withdrawals is a game-changer for Tyler Farr.

This album is amazing. Tyler has really stepped his game up a notch and put out a very country sounding album with some quality songs. Here would be my singles choices: 1. A Guy Walks Into A Bar 2. Damn Good Friends w/ Jason Aldean 3. Withdrawls 4. Criminal I think "Poor Boy", "Raised to Pray" and "I Don't Even Want This Beer" could all be singles too. "Suffer In Peace" is my favorite song by far on the album, but sadly it is too slow for radio.

Someone with more inside knowledge than me might know, but I do believe "Withdrawls" is (tentatively) slated to be the next single.
Overall, this album is outstanding.

I was told originally Damn Good Friends was slated to be single No. 2 but apparently they have started rethinking that and "Withdrawals" is now being considered if not already decided.

I hated his first album, but damn. This is outstanding outside of the opening tune. "Withdrawals" could take him to the next level, the title track is phenomenal, and "I Don't Even Want This Beer" is great as well.

I love this album so far. "C=O=U-N-T-R-Y" is a sub par tune, but the rest of this is album is stellar.
"I Don't Even Want This Beer" "Damn Good Friends" "Withdrawals" "Suffer in Peace" "Poor Boy" "Raised to Pray" are all standouts, which says a lot about the quality of songs here. I think "Damn Good Friends" effectively does what "Only Way I Know" and "Small Town Throwdown" attempted to, which is make an awesome "buddy" (heh) song. Aldean sounds great on that as well. If ever there was a time for Country radio to turn back the right way, it's for a song like "Suffer in Peace".

Maybe he gets a huge hit with that and can release "Suffer" after that.

While they've said OK to stuff like that before, maybe they'd ask to wait til later on as it could be then tacked onto Aldean's next record too. It should be a single but maybe it'll be a spring or fall 2016 release.

A lot can still happen with Tyler's album (single success at radio, sales), and they might only release two more singles after "A Guy Walks Into A Bar", but I'm sure they've had discussions with Broken Bow and his management team about a tentative release schedule. Columbia would like to release it but like you said, they need permission. It could really help with Tyler's momentum to release "Damn Good Friends" next and they could ride a wave of momentum into "Withdrawals". I'm interested to see how this album era plays out and how much more success he can have at radio.

I think "Withdrawls" will have major momentum on its own, though. It could even be a crossover play for Tyler. They could THEN keep that momentum with "Damn Good Friends" to roll into a 4th "era closer" if timing permits.

To my pleasant surprise, I enjoyed the album as a whole. But skip the first track if you hate bro-country

Or would radio not respect it anyway?

Great album! I'd highly recommend his new album Suffer In Peace to anyone. I agree with the previous comment. He could easily go 4 singles with this album. Next single should be the duet with Jason Aldean "Damn Good Friends" (which is my favorite song from the album and a #1 hit easily), third single should be "Suffer In Peace" and 4th single could be just about any of them but I'd go with either "Withdrawals", "Criminal" or "Raised To Pray". Gotta support my Missouri boy! Tyler Farr is the greatest!

Or would radio not respect it anyway? The title track is easily the best song on the album IMO, at least in terms of lyrics, story, and production. But I'm not sure if Tyler, who's still considered a newbie by Country radio it seems (As evidenced by his 40+ week charting lead single...), will have the momentum to get such a slow song up the charts. Heck even Dierks Bentley couldn't get "Bourbon In Kentucky" up the charts, simply because radio isn't ready to have a song that dares to change the mood from party to introspective for even 3 brief minutes. I would love to see it get released, but just fear it would sink his ship of momentum, and since there's plenty of other strong songs on the album, I think if they decide to release it they should wait until it's the last single off the album. But that's just my opinion. I'm curious as to what others think about the possibility.

This is definitely way better than his debut. With every male going to the pop/R&B side, it was nice to some country mixed with rock. This album also proves that when Tyler is doing slower songs (such as Suffer In Peace, I Don't Even Want This Beer, Guy Walks Into A Bar) that he can soar vocally. Even a more rocking song like Withdrawals proves that Tyler can tackle heartbreak very well. Now if only C.O.U.N.T.R.Y wasn't on here....

I can't get enough of the title track. My gosh, 10 years ago that would be an absolute SMASH on radio. What a great true COUNTRY song.

C.O.U.N.T.R.Y.-Just a bro country song, where I can't understand the words. A Guy Walks...-We know about it. Withdrawals-this is a really good song, that could be an big hit. I'm a fan of it. Damn Good Friends-Sounds like a random buddy song, that's really short, with no real point. Suffer in Peace-It is a great country song. This too can be a big hit. He needs to keep down this road. Raised to Pray-A good song about a common theme in country. Criminal-I like this song, it is pretty cool lyrically. Better in Boots- Typical bro-country, country living type of song, but not terrible. Poor Boy-I was thinking this would be something else, but literally about a poor person, not bad though. I Don't Even Want This Beer-I like this one, good country song. Why We Live Here-Seems like this song finds it's way onto every male artists album. Can we stop that?
Overall this is a pretty good album. Not too many bad single choices on here, just please not the first or last song, please.

I think the point of that song is we all have a lot of "buddies" and "pals" but only a handful of really good friends. It's actually one of my favorites on the album.

It's kind of like explaining how the bond of those "Damn Good Friends" is going to trump time and circumstances. Whereas, "buddies" are more of the fair weather friend types.
