Like I said before, Macklemore's nuts are hiding between his legs because there are male subjects that aren't in the grave he could've come for. Post Malone and Riff Raff are both suburban kids that are appropriating black culture and Post Malone especially has used the "N" word in conversation. Macklemore just needs to do what he does just like Iggy. It's a lose-lose situation so draw your niche crowd and do you. I used to defend him by putting him in the rap category but he's just grasping for straws to keep him above the other white artists that have gotten backlash from the black community. Keep quiet on twitter, release the Z100 bops and deliver quality music videos. She hasn't had enough milage in the industry yet to experiment. She needed to cement her status with the second LP and cleaned up the messy backlash from her last era. The 3rd album is where the label should be able to give her free reign.

I think she should do what makes her happy at this point, and I don't think she was happy where her career was headed sonically after the string of singles post-Fancy going by her interviews last year - which is why she scrapped the work she had been doing with the same producers of TNC. At this point everyone's giving her s**t constantly for literally everything she does (and even what she does not do). She'll most likely always have an audience that allows her to keep putting music out even if she no longer has "chart hits" and all that like she was doing before her mainstream breakthrough.
If it was up to me I'll be more than satisfied with what we've heard so far from this project and the return to a more electronic sound like she had always been before going all top 40 with her debut album as planned to try and get commercial attention (which she successfully did). We haven't even heard the stuff she's sending to radio yet tho.

At this point she's basically damned if she does damned if she doesn't. If she goes back to her roots she'll be accused of trying to regain her lost street cred and that she's aiming for some damage control but if she serves more top 40 bops she'll be a laughing stock that no one will take seriously as a rapper or an artist in general.

Point is, she should do whatever she wants to do but I'm afraid that she doesn't even know what that is. I mean, she considers Pretty Girls a hit when we know it was far from that so the fact that she's so defensive against the chart performance of the poppiest song she's ever been on is concerning as far as what her intentions truly are. As long as the music is good I'm with her though. I don't care if she serves another The New Classic or Ignorant Art cause I loved both and everything in-between with the exception of Glory but that was such a small piece of work so it doesn't really matter.

She isn't taken seriously as an artist and she's never had any street cred. Nobody would bat an eyelash if she released Z100 bops considering "Fancy" is what put her on the map.

How important is fashion to you?
I think increasingly for singers and rappers today, rightly or wrongly, what you wear can almost be important as your song. Have you been to a couture show before?
Never, and it really is such a treat. I’ve been to ready-to-wear, but couture is the stuff of fairy tales. I’ve been excited to see these gowns for weeks now.

What is special about Armani Privé in particular?
I find the timelessness and elegance of his work incredibly refreshing in a world where we are constantly bombarded with what is new. Look at this classic tailoring. I honestly try to wear Armani to events whenever I have the chance.

Do you spend a lot of time thinking about how you present yourself in public?
Yes. I’m always thinking about it. I have to.

Sounds stressful. How will you wind down?
Paris is my happy place because bread is my favorite food. So it sounds clichéd, but eating. For me, dinners in France are heaven.

SI to host Super Bowl week party featuring performance by Iggy Azalea



As part of the SI Experience for Super Bowl 50, Sports Illustrated is throwing a VIP party on Friday night at 1015 Folsom in San Francisco.

SI swimsuit models Nina Agdal and Samantha Hoopes will host the event, which will also include a special musical performance by Iggy Azalea.

“I’m really excited to be performing at the Sports Illustrated party on Friday. It will be a great way to kick off a big weekend of fun in San Francisco,“ Azalea said. “This is such a special sporting event, and the Sports Illustrated Party is the only way to start the celebrations!”

DJ DSharp will provide music for the night, which kicks off at 10 p.m. PT and ends at 2 a.m. For information about ticket packages to the party, click here.

As Iggy Azalea readies the release of her sophomore album, the rapper says she's feeling more self-assured and less worried about being or sounding cool.

"I think I'm more confident, and I think I have more belief in what I think is cool rather than worrying about what other people are going to like," Azalea said in an interview Friday.

"I think I have more belief in myself in being a trendsetter, which all artists should. So I hope to maybe move the dial a little bit more than I did last time," she added.

The 25-year-old made the comments before she performed at a Sports Illustrated pre-Super Bowl Party in San Francisco — a city she said she loves visiting. Azalea said she wasn't attending Sunday's Super Bowl in Santa Clara, California, but she's happy to watch Beyoncé, Bruno Mars and Coldplay perform during the halftime show.

"I have to go home and work, but I will be watching them on television. I'm excited to watch them at home," the pink-haired performer said.

She signed autographs and took photos with fans outside of the 1015 Folsom nightclub, and inside she shook hands with concertgoers in the loud crowd while also performing songs like "Fancy" and "Black Widow."

Azalea said her new album will be released "this half of the year." It won't include as many guest artists as her Grammy-nominated debut, "The New Classic," she said.

"Less features than last time. I went a bit feature crazy," she said of the 2014 album, which included songs co-starring Jennifer Hudson, mentor T.I., reggae artist Mavado and pop singers Rita Ora and Charli XCX.

"I'm hoping people will see my growth, being able to hold my own on a song without needing somebody else's companionship," she added. "But I still will do some features because I love that, too."
