tbh, I expect BMLG to drop him after the album release... His single is doing so badly and the GP just isnt connecting :/

All the songs that I have heard sound pretty good. I think this is going to flop hard, but I'll be interested in it.

A major label artist with a Pledge Music campaign? God bless him.

Love is Blind is available now. I actually really like it. He's 2/2 with me right now with this album.

"Get You Home" is still an underrated bop.

I rooted for Nick and I like him but I hope to find some of the Nick that I liked on Idol in some of these songs. So far I liked "Nothing to Lose" and "Love is Blind" besides Beautiful Life, because I couldnt stand "Get You Home" so if he puts out better songs than this one on the album..I will be glad and finally the album will come out.

I'm sure this'll sell like twelve copies, but I agree - "Nobody" in particular is a tune.

All of the songs have been very good so far! It sucks that he's probably destined to be the worst selling winner in Idol history.
I didn't hear it much in "Get You Home", but Nick's falsetto on "Howling At The Moon" and especially "Nothing to Lose" reminds me so much of someone else that I can't for the life of me remember.

For me "Hurricane" and "If I Didnt Know You" are the best ones and the ones that I really feel Nick on it...the rest of the album doesnt sound like him for me and I felt a lack of his personality on it.I guess I can get used to a few others but the review is pretty right too.Anyway, like I said I am happy because he finally put out the album.

I actually really like the album. Dare I say this is the best debut album from a male winner in Idol history?
The album looks like it's going to bomb though. It's only #34 on iTunes and dropping (I think it peaked around #25). I don't remember how Caleb's album did (because I didn't care about him), but I think it was right around here. He also has his Pledge campaign that should really help him considering David Cook's last album really benefitted from that.
Though, the race for the worst selling Idol debut album is on!

I like it as well. The truth is if someone like Justin Bieber released these songs, radio would instantly support. Just sad anyway you look at it.

Every Day Forget2ForgetU
I'd expect something this bland from a 2006 winner but I'm shocked at how devoid of personality it was especially after reading he co-wrote the whole damn thing.

I actually really like this album. It's clear they went for a radio friendly album, and they did just that. Almost all these songs could be substantial hits with the right promotion. I agree, the album is devoid of personality, but I don't think the intent here was to show the world who Nick Fradiani is. This album seems more of "let's get him popular enough for people to actually care about his artistry and personality"... If they can get a hit or two off this album, then I think their job is done and next album we'll see deeper cuts and such...

LOL. This album is not getting any hits and I'm sure Nick will be dropped. Idol winners are so irrelevant and have been for the last several seasons.

Well he's the first of two Idol winners on Big Machine, so that changes things up quite a bit. He's on a very powerful label. He has the music, looks, and backing. I don't think it's too far fetched that he scores a hit with this album, but we'll see.

If I Didn't Know You would be much better with a better singer. I didn't realize how whiny and nasal Nick sounds. Also, I breezed through the album, listening to bits and pieces here and there. Sounds so generic and dull.

Decided I would give this a chance since I can't, in all fairness, critique something I haven't heard fully. I have gotten through the first 3 songs so far (and Beautiful Life) and...it's not bad. I am honestly surprised that he was so behind the decision to go full on pop like that and his collaborators are interesting. I stand behind the fact that this won't do much but it's more because he's the final Idol winner. The songs are catchy.

+1 to the "this album is pretty good, if a little lacking in personality" crowd. I stand behind the fact that this won't do much but it's more because he's the final Idol winner. He won season 14, which aired last year - the last American Idol winner is Trent Harmon (also signed to Big Machine; first promoted single is "There's A Girl," which is being worked to country radio).

Good point about this "let´s get him popular" although I think it will be hard for Nick to get a hit from the album...it gives me hope that he can make deeper cuts in the future and shows more his personality. ;)
