Gary Allan- Best I Ever Had Gary Allan- I Just Got Back From Hell Gary Allan- One More Time Gary Allan- Promise Broken Gary Allan- Putting My Misery On Display Gary Allan- Smoke Rings In The Dark Gary Allan- Tough All Over The entire Tough All Over album is about all the sad you need if you're feeling down. I'm surprised you didn't list "Life Ain't Always Beautiful"? I really do think it's a good thing to listen to some sad songs from time to time. It just seems like a release of your feelings and emotions and perhaps that can be healthy. There's quite a few sad songs in my playlist, whether they're straight up tearjerkers or just from personal experience. Tebey - "Til It's Gone" Darryl Worley - "When You Need My Love" Shannon Lawson - "Goodbye On A Bad Day" Wade Bowen - "Saturday Night" Craig Morgan - "Every Friday Afternoon" Craig Morgan - "Almost Home" Craig Morgan - "This Ain't Nothin'" Brett Eldredge - "Raymond" Rascal Flatts - "Ellsworth" Tim Rushlow - "She Misses Him" Big & Rich - "Never Mind Me" Bobby Pinson - "Don't Ask Me How I Know" LeAnn Rimes - "Probably Wouldn't Be This Way" Jeff Carson - "Real Life (I Never Was The Same Again)" (just for that first verse alone; if you are a dog lover, my goodness...) Kenny Chesney - "Don't Blink" Blaine Larsen - "How Do You Get That Lonely" Sammy Kershaw - "Yard Sale" Jeff Bates - "One Second Chance" Trent Willmon - "Home Sweet Holiday Inn" Jake Owen - "Startin' With Me" (still the best thing's he's ever released IMO) Billy Currington - "Walk A Little Straighter" Steve Holy - "Go Home" Sherrie Austin - "Streets Of Heaven" Jason Michael Carroll - "Alyssa Lies" Chris Cagle - "I Breathe In, I Breathe Out" Chris Cagle - "Miss Me Baby" Keith Anderson - "I Still Miss You" Keith Anderson - "Every Time I Hear Your Name" Keith Anderson - "I'll Know When I Get There" Waycross - "Nineteen" Trace Adkins - "Arlington" Tim McGraw - "If You're Reading This" (three for Memorial Day) Montgomery Gentry - "Twenty Years Ago" Brian McComas - "All Comes Floodin' Down" Little Texas - "What Might Have Been" Brad Paisley - "I Wish You'd Stay" George Strait - "You'll Be There" Joe Nichols - "I'll Wait For You" Tracy Lawrence - "Used To The Pain" Tracy Lawrence - "If I Don't Make It Back" These two are real hard for me to listen to. Jeff Carson - "The Car" Blake Shelton - "The Baby"

Going to do my best not to repeat any of the songs mentioned above. I echo sabre14's mention of Blake Shelton's "The Baby" as a song that is just way to hard for me to listen to; all of the Gary Allan songs mentioned also; lastly George Strait's "Drinkin' Man" is just another one of those that I find hard to listen to based on my own personal experience. Alan Jackson - Monday Morning Church Alan Jackson - Rainy Day In June Alison Krauss - Ghost In This House Alison Krauss & Union Station - I Can Let Go Now Alison Krauss & Union Station - New Favorite Billy Dean - Once In A While The Band Perry - If I Die Young Bryan White - Someone Else's Star Carlene Carter - Stronger Clint Black w/ Wynonna - A Bad Goodbye Collin Raye - Love, Me Daryl Worley - If Something Should Happen David Nail - The Secret Diamond Rio - One More Day Dierks Bentley - Long Trip Alone Dixie Chicks - Godspeed (Sweet Dreams) Dixie Chicks - Top of the World Don Williams - Crying In The Rain Don Williams - This Side of the Sun Doug Stone - I'd Be Better Off (In A Pine Box) Gary Stewart - An Empty Glass George Strait - My Infinite Love George Strait - She Took The Wind From His Sails George Strait - A Better Rain George Strait - Living For The Night George Strait - Last In Love George Strait - I'd Like To Have That One Back George Strait - Poison Holly Williams - Without You Holly Williams - Gone Away From Me Joe Nichols - Man With A Memory John Berry - When Love Dies John Berry - I Never Lost You Kathy Mattea - Where've You Been Keith Whitley (and Alison Krauss) - When You Say Nothing At All Lee Ann Womack - Send It On Down Mark Wills - Wish You Were Here Mary Chapin Carpenter - A Place In The World Mary Chapin Carpenter - 10,000 Miles Mary Chapin Carpenter - Between Here and Gone Patty Loveless - You Don't Even Know Who I Am Randy Travis - Horse Called Music Reba McEntire - She Thinks His Name Was John Rodney Crowell - After All This Time Tammy Cochran - Angels in Waiting Tanya Tucker - (Without You) What Do I Do With Me Tim McGraw - One Of These Days Vern Gosdin - Chiseled In Stone Willie Nelson - Whenever You Come Around Willie Nelson - Won't Catch Me Cryin' Wynonna - Come Some Rainy Day

I will definitely stand by Chris Young's "Flowers" as being one of the saddest songs ever. Talk about an unexpected twist!!
Also, I cannot believe nobody has mentioned Martina's "Concrete Angel". That music video absolutely rips my heart out.
Some others. I'll try to keep it to ones that nobody has said: Martina - God's Will Reba - Moving Oleta Josh Turner - Cold Shoulder Toby Keith - She Never Cried In Front Of Me Jason Michael Carrol - Let It Rain Tim McGraw - When She Wakes Up (And Finds Me Gone) Sara Evans - Bible Song Cassadee Pope - Wasting All These Tears Travis Tritt - Anymore, Tell Me I Was Dreaming

I will definitely stand by Chris Young's "Flowers" as being one of the saddest songs ever. Talk about an unexpected twist!! I have to admit, I had never heard "Flowers" before you mentioned it. Seeing as you noted it as one of the saddest songs, I just went and tortured myself. A beautifully written song. But, SO SO SO sad. I was not expecting the story line of the song to twist like it did. :'( This is why I love Pulse though, I discover new things everyday.

I hardly ever post here as I mostly just read but when I saw this topic I had to comment and recommend flowers as the saddest song I know. Also Jon Randals version iPod whiskey lullaby is sadder spthen brad paisley since the song was based around him.

Chris Knight - Enough Rope (it is basically "Merry Go Round" before it was recorded, just a very real and very somber view of life in small towns). Corey Smith - As the Angels Cry Corey Smith - Leaving An Angel Corey Smith - The Wreckage
Also Wesley Dennis - Don't Make Me Feel At Home

Great tearjerker with a sad twist. You can probably make an entire post of sad Vern Gosdin songs. One of my favorites is "What I Threw Away", which gives me goosebumps every time.
