The original country -southern rock jam band. Not one of my all-time favorites, but just yesterday I listened to a bunch of CDB and forgot how many good songs they have. Definately good tunes for windows down driving, or cook out with friends. I saw them live twice, they do ALOT of instrumental jams, which can get boring at times. They played full 12-minute version of Caballo Diablo, with like a 3-minute drum solo (kinda awesome), and just alot of jamming. But at 70 some years old, Charlie can bring it and still sing.
Top Damn Good Cowboy (love this song, everyone should check it out, one of the country-est things they've done) Cumberland Mountain Number 9 (second favorite song of his, check it out yall) Uneasy Rider ( a non-country loving friend of mine loves this song) The Legend of Wooley Swamp Long Haired Country Boy The South's Gonna Do It Tennessee Boogie Woogie Fiddle Country Blues Cowboy Hat in Dallas Drinkin' My Baby Goodbye Louisiana Fais Dodo Everything Is Kinda Alright Sweetwater Texas Was It 26 Play Me Some Fiddle Mister DJ
Bottom I like Devil Went Down To Georgia, just heard it a million times. By myself I wont listen to it, but if I am at a party or something i'll sing along His early stuff was very jazzy

I love some CDB. I love a good mix of country and southern rock and I hope that I can see them someday live.

I'm embarrassed to say I only know three or four individual songs. They're among the biggest artists/bands I don't know nearly enough about. What would you guys consider their strongest album?

I've only heard a handful of albums myself, but they're all pretty solid. The five I've heard are: 1. Million Mile Reflections 2. Nightrider 3. Saddle Tramp 4. Midnight Wind 5. Fire On The Mountain And, yes, I'd rank them in that order as well. Fire On The Mountain seems to be a lot of people's favorite, so I'm in the minority with that, but you can't really go wrong. For someone like you Andy, I'd recommend Nightrider :)

He's always been an artist I wanted to get more into but have never gotten around to for whatever reason.

I've listened to Nightrider several times, and I really dig it. Can't believe it's taken me this long to get into CDB. Gonna probably listen to Million Mile Reflections next.
