Kentucky25, Is there a link to stream the album? If not, it's not really a listening party. Album threads are supposed to go in the Artist Discussion forum; we only allow for an additional listening party thread here if there is somewhere for people to stream the album.

Thanks, zjames! :) HITS is predicting only 21-24k for first-week sales for Billy. They're projecting 25-30k for Willie Nelson and Merle Haggard's Django and Jimmy. No projections for Montgomery Gentry or Gloriana, which probably means they'll debut with 10-15k or less. Billy's never been a huge album seller, though. He's never had a #1 album on Top Country Albums, and his highest placement on the Billboard 200 is #9. His last album, We Are Tonight, debuted at #5 on the Top Country Albums chart with first-week sales of 26,000 (I'm not sure what it's total sales are). His album before that, 2010's Enjoy Yourself, is certified Gold although I don't think it's quite sold 500k. His sophomore album, 2005's Doin' Somethin' Right, is certified Platinum, and his 3rd album, 2008's Little Bit Of Everything, is certified Gold, but of course album sales were higher back then as well. I think Summer Forever could have legs, though, as I really think "Drinkin' Town With A Football Problem" will be a big hit for him, and it seems like the type of song that will move albums and not just singles. It's the absolute perfect choice for the 2nd single, and I think it could be his biggest hit since "People Are Crazy".

Billy's never been a huge album seller, though. He's never had a #1 album on Top Country Albums, and his highest placement on the Billboard 200 is #9. His last album, We Are Tonight, debuted at #5 on the Billboard 200 with first-week sales of 26,000 (I'm not sure what it's total sales are). I spent a couple minutes re-reading this because I couldn't figure out what was wrong (like, how could his highest peak be #9 when his last album debuted at #5?!), but I finally realized you meant #5 on the country albums chart. Him continuing to miss out on getting a #1 album is kind of funny at this point. I'm a bit surprised it's never happened, even considering his album sales not being the best, but seriously putting it out the right week, it wouldn't be terribly hard to achieve, lol. He's like the country Rihanna (she had a reputation for missing the #1 spot on the Billboard 200 with every album and it finally ended with her last album getting there at last with her 7th set).

His last album was brilliant top to bottom. I don't love all these songs, but overall I like it a lot. It's not my favorite Currington album, but I don't think his sound changed much at all. (Soundtrack is an outlier)
Favorites: Nowhere Town (would've liked this to be the lead single), Drinking Town with a Football Problem, Good Night, It Don't Hurt Like It Used To (one of the best songs he's ever recorded), and Jonesin.

I've found that I especially like "Wake Me Up", "Summer Forever", and "Give it to Me Straight", but this album is all equal in quality really, with the exception of the stellar "It Don't Hurt Like It Used To"

I LOVE this album. I feel like this is his most solid album from top to bottom. It's also full of songs with great hooks. There's the one sabre14 mentioned in the, "Drinking Town With a Football Problem, " thread, but it's also has a great one in, "It Don't Hurt Like It Used To." "Hey, hey, what can I say? I can just lie and say it's all okay. Oh-ho, what can I do? Been goin' through Hell gettin' over you" And then, the other hook I love is in, "Sweet Love." "We had sweet love Dancing in your room all night Couldn't stop kissing you To save my life"
