Here's how I'd rank the tracks: 1. Better For It (spoiler: the best two tracks here are the Stapleton co-writes) 2. Pain 3. That's Just Living 4. Two Old Friends 5. In A Small Town 6. We Were Here 7. Folks Like Us 8. Headlights 9. Hillbilly Hippies 10. Back On A Dirt Road It's not a bad album, a little too much partying, but I've always been a fan of MG so some of these are guilty pleasures. This album definitely fits into their wheelhouse and there's no rapping which is (unfortunately) something to be thankful for in Country in 2015 Grade: 7/10

I'm planning on buying this within the next few weeks, but glad to see the two singles lower on your favorites list, that means it's probably like all their albums in having a few hidden gems among a bunch of decent stuff.

"We Were Here" has a really nice melody and they both sound great on it. Why that wasn't released to radio, who knows. "In a Small Town" is really good too. "Back on a Dirt Road" isn't very good, the vocals from Chris Robertson do nothing for me and don't fit the song.
"Better For It" is one if the best songs they've recorded in a while, and ten years ago it'd be a smash. "Pain" is brilliant about 1:30 in but then it just dies, as the chorus is just repeated with no real hook. "That's Just Living" is really good lyrically as well, one of my favorites.
It's no "My Town" but it's a pretty damn solid album. Disappointed with "Headlights" being the lead single though.

Yeah I never cared much for the singles, though I have to say there's more good than bad. Folks Like Us is the only track that's just "there" for me. The tracks above that range from good to excellent, and the ones below that are awful

Just an FYI, y'all can add the listening party tag when you create the thread. All you have to do is click the drop down arrow next to the little wheel in the top right corner, then hover over "labels" and click where it says "Add Listening Party". Then the little blue listening party tag will be there after the thread is created :) It's nice to have that because on the main page of the sub-forum, if you click on the blue lettering, it'll sort the other threads out and display only the listening party threads. :) It makes it so it's easy to find those threads when they haven't been posted in in a while. Here's a picture in case that didn't make sense:
