Dear Janhova and Cicus Christ! I JUST signed up for X-Box Music and now it's barely working since they announced the swtich-over to "Groove" yesterday. I think I'm going to peace out of streaming until everything calms down in a few months. The extra $10 will allow me to go to Chipotle an extra time per month instead. Switch over?

@antigonerising, give Rdio a shot too - I think its UX is the best of the music apps I've used (maybe Google too, but I haven't used that much) and it has both web and mobile apps (though the desktop app is trash, at least when I checked last), and it easily has the most robust New Releases section if that interests you. Rdio is the best. Even the desktop app is better than any of the other streaming services. The difference is the user interface: intuitive and simple but very powerful. It also have the best notification system. Add an album to your favorites and you'll get notified everytime the artist release something. I think the reason for such polished interface is that they have been in the market for several years and they went through several iterations.

Not surprised. It seems like everyone wants to get in on the streaming game now.

Does anyone but Google and Apple offer cloud storage? That's key for me - I want to be able to upload and store all my existing music, and these two services are the only ones that seem to openly advertise that feature. Rhapsody has something similar in beta, but it appears to be more about *matching* your library than actually storing your music (I basically want to be able to wipe all the hard music files from my computer and phone).
And since I'm an Android user, I'm limited to Google right now. And the interface is absolutely atrocious.

I think Microsoft (their service is now called Groove Music for some dumb reason) allows that through OneDrive.

Curious, for Rdio can you stream any song you want with the free version on mobile, or is it shuffle like the mobile Spotify is?

Yay, thanks!! I was pretty surprised to count that they played more than 900 songs in the first week too. I suspect that will be lower in the following weeks since they were pushing a lot of problems in the opening weekend to entice listeners, but that's still a pretty big playlist especially compared to what we usually look at here.

holy crap, i just tried the Kelly Clarkson station on Rdio and the very first song it played was Be Still. I have never checked out a streaming site before that could nail a KC station, and here Rdio is throwing out my most favorite KC song on the first try?
Rdio, you just might be the real MVP.

I gave in and signed up for the free trial last night; so far, I'm pretty impressed.
The visual interface is sleek and interactive, and the playlists are really great, too. Typically, I find playlists generated from music services to be garbage, but not this time.
I'll update when I've explored a bit more.

The playlist are the best part of it. I have tons of "Deep Cuts"' and "Intro To...". I always preferred a mixture of hits and album tracks/fan favorites. Spotifys playlist are very hit or miss.

Has anybody else had trouble scrobbling to Last.fm from Apple Music? Sometimes they take and sometimes they dont, unless I first save a track offline and then play it through the iOS scrobbler app

Does anyone know what music Apple has that Spotify doesn't stream? Besides Taylor Swift of course.

Apple unveiled the new iPods today. iPod Nano and iPod Shuffle only got new colors, but iPod Touch received some nice updates. The new iPod Touch is Apple Music compatible. www.apple.com/ipod-touch/

I agreed to try the Apple Music 3-month trial, HUGE mistake. If you are a fanatic about tagging your files and artwork yourself, especially if you rip your own music (I know, shocking people in this world still do that) stay away from this nightmare. The moment I accepted, it completely f**ked up my whole library. It changed artwork to completely wrong artists or compilation covers, it took it upon itself to replace 320kbps AAC personal rips into 256kbps files taken from the iTunes Store. Just Google "Apple Music ruined my library" and you'll see other horror stories. Luckily I didn't sync my phone to my computer so it didn't mess up my iTunes Library there, so I just did a master restore on the iPhone and synced a backup before I accepted the Apple Music. No thanks Apple, I'll stick to buying my music. Thanks for the heads up - I really do like to tag my own artwork and keep things organized myself! I will stay away. Apple has been highly irritating to me with all of their mundane little updates that completely change stuff up without little thought and or accord for users, slowly getting over them.

That is good to know. I'm psycho about how I organize things and was considering the trial. And I agree. The last iTunes update was mildly annoying and I hear the new one is even more so.

No thanks Apple, I'll stick to buying my music. My library got shot as well. My play counts disappeared for a good amount of my songs. Also with the artworks, I haven't noticed iTunes giving me wrong artworks, but a lot of mine just disappeared and will not sync no matter how many times I try. Like some albums have half their tracks with artworks, and the other half don't. It's frustrating considering I like to have my iPod looking good with that (and artworks show up on my car radio). Actually, it also screwed my radio up. Ever since I updated, I have gotten a lot of errors on my radio and some songs don't even show up, but they're still playing. Apple really knows how to screw things up. With that said, I do like Apple Music lol. I like being able to stream free music right from my phone/iPod. But I'll end up sticking with Spotify since you can have that for free.

Last year all of the play counts for my purchased songs were reset in iTunes, which was really annoying. No idea why that happened and it was only with songs I bought through the iTunes Store. Even now, I sometimes have syncing problems or issues with songs being removed from my iPhone and it's only ever purchased songs I have a problem with. Must be their way of making us switch to apple music

I need to update my phone if that's the case XBOX Music branding only changed to Groove Music so far on Windows 10. I downloaded the Windows 10 update for PC on...Tuesday I believe. So yeah, I already have Windows 10 on my laptop. According to articles, XBOX Music branding on XBOX & Phones (windows phone, iOS, android) will still be XBOX music until further notice, but Microsoft plans on changing the branding eventually to Groove Music. Everything you need to know about Groove Music

Hey. Sorry if this has been addressed, but is anybody else using the iCloud Music feature? I subscribed to it, and I love it! So convenient to have access to my entire music library, but I am having an issue with certain remixes and live versions of songs not playing, but being replaced by the regular album versions of songs. How do you fix this?
