Joe is one of those artists that I've been meaning to hear more of, the only albums I've heard of his are "It's All Good", and "Crickets", plus his cover of "My Old Friend The Blues". I'm seeing him in concert tonight (hopefully, if the rain doesn't start....).
Top 1. Brokenheartsville 2. If Nobody Believed In You 3. Footlights 4. My Old Friend The Blues (anyone who covers Steve Earle is aces in my book) 5. Old School Country Song 6. Another Side Of You 7. The Shape I'm In 8. I'll Wait For You 9. It Ain't No Crime 10. Billy Graham's Bible 11. Size Matters (Someday) 12. Yeah 13. The Impossible 14. Sunny and 75 15. She Only Smokes When She Drinks
Bottom 1. Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off 2. Take It Off 3. What's A Guy Gotta Do

I don't know what happened with "It Ain't No Crime". This was its chart run:
45-40-34-30-24-26-26-23-18-18-20-18-19-20-19-17-16-17-18-24
Good head of steam (outside the one 24-26 blip), but once it got Top 20 it just hit the wall. What happened?
(Also, how can Brent Rowan constantly manage to turn a song with only three instruments in it into a total Liddell-ian brick wall of noise? He did the same thing with Blake Shelton's "Don't Make Me". And don't get me started on his boneheaded idea to use so much Auto-Tune on "Gimmie That Girl"...)

If I recall, the chart was pretty weak in terms of audience totals in January/February of 2008, so that I'm sure helped contribute to "It Ain't No Crime's" hot start - in fact I know for sure the first two to three weeks of that year had a massive amount of new additions to the Billboard top 60, even more than usual (tons of Christmas singles in late 2007). In the end, I just assumed that "It Ain't No Crime" really didn't create enough buzz one way or the other and stations juts didn't really convert it into anything past medium rotation. It was definitely one of Joe's underrated singles and one that you didn't ever hear again after 2008, or at least that's how it went for me.

^ I noticed that the charts in early 2008 were kind of screwy in general. Lots of unusually big jumps. I noticed that due to the Christmas songs, Big & Rich actually re-entered at #48 on 1/19, which may be the highest re-entry for a song that fell entirely out of the 60 due to Christmas. FIFTEEN Christmas songs fell out that week (literally 25% of the chart!), and it just seemed to have a ripple effect. And yet the last two Christmases, none even hit Top 40...

There usually doesn't seem to be so much common disdain for the same songs across members, but right now Believers and Tske It Off seem to be in everyone's basement

I had to listen back to it to even remember it, and I usually remember everything, lol. "Take It Off" is the essence of "generic fluff."

The thing I remember about Believers is that Bob Kingsley somehow got it in his head that Phil Vassar wrote it. No idea where he got that blatant misinformation from.

The Impossible 8. If Nobody Believed in You 9. What's a Guy Gotta Do Idk what would go in the 10th spot, I'm not terribly familiar with the rest of his singles. Bottom 1. Gimmie That Girl (I don't totally hate this but meh)

It didn't quite make my top list because I was trying to keep it a manageable length but I enjoy "Believers" too.

I'm not sure I understand the disdain for Gimme That Girl. I heard him do it in concert before the album came out and it was obvious to me it was going to be a big hit.

I'm not sure I understand the disdain for Gimme That Girl. I heard him do it in concert before the album came out and it was obvious to me it was going to be a big hit. I think its generic, and lyrically vanilla. There's nothing special about it. I don't even think its that catchy. I thought it could definitely go top 10 when it came out, but hitting #1 and being one of the biggest hits of 2010 I did not see coming.

I saw Joe in concert this weekend. It's sounds better live and less processed. Not my favorite by any stretch, but it was more enjoyable than I thought it'd be.

Agree with all of that, plus the spelling of the title drives me crazy.
