That's definitely her best album cover. I love the bohemian look showcased in all of the visuals thus far.

The "Storyteller" cover is SO gorgeous, how has she looked even better since the baby?
Everything about this is perfect to me. The color scheme, the outfit and the contrast works beautifully.
The simplicity really adds to it, too. It feels like it was intentional, but the final product still feels complete, and not disjointed, overdone, or lazy.
I can't remember the last time I was this happy with an album cover, and the rollout has been quick and flawless.
I can't wait to have this in my hands in its physical form.

Sounds like Kelly Clarkson is covering SITW as the fan request for her Phoenix show tonight.

Storyteller's cover is her best BY FAR for me. Absoultely stunning.
And I am with those that say Smoke Break is getting better after every listen. I just want October 23rd to BE HERE!

A+ to the album cover....ties 'Play On' as my favourite. While 'Smoke Break' is my least favourite lead single of an era, I am excited to see what Carrie brings to this album vocally, especially if the album follows a twangier vocal that is prevalent in the first single- a side that Carrie has only rarely shown. As others have stated, she truly is more beautiful (and hotter) than she has been in the past (if that is even possible). This era has started out phenomenally, so with new management, it has the potentially to be one of her best !

Play On still the best cover, and still her best album ever.

Smoke Break is so fucking relateable. My favorite part is "Grab that cup, fill it up, drink it sloowwww and let it alllll go" Yaasss Carrie :'( The album cover is nice. I get the feeling she's going for a more mature traditional image and sound this era. Which is fine by me because I love what I'm hearing so far!

I hate to get ahead of the game, but I'm thinking the label and all who are associated are throwing their support 100% behind Carrie this time around. The country music scene, right now, isn't really THAT competitive insofar as there aren't many new artists making major splashes; the same artists who have been at the top of the format are still there, and not much has changed. I think with the way this era is shaping up, we are in for perhaps Carrie's most successful era since the beginning of her career. That says a lot considering pretty much every album cycle has been a massive success for Carrie. I'm speaking more in terms of critical acclaim and accolades, though. Unfortunately, Carrie's main competitor in country music is the only other big female, Miranda, and her spotlight seems to be fading by the day. I mean, "Smokin' and Drinkin'" is her current single and it has barely made the top 30, and that's with another big-name artist on the song! Her "Platinum" era, which had all the workings to be huge, has faded rather drastically. She has seemingly lost much of the momentum she was enjoying for 5+ years. Judging by the amount of attention Carrie has been receiving (CMA ads, radio attention; another record-breaking first week for a single), and the fact that Miranda has seemed to struggle at radio this past year, it seems to me the attention is shifting over to Carrie.
I know it's bold considering it's Carrie and the CMAs I'm talking about, but with all the buzz surrounding Carrie right now, and based off the success of the "Greatest Hits" era, I think Carrie will win Female Vocalist at the CMAs in November. I think that will spark what will become a HUGE year for Carrie. The tides just seem to be shifting; new management at the label, another HUGE single/album launch, a big tour to follow, and a not-so competitive field, I truly think 2016 will be the year of Carrie Underwood in country music.
I've probably posted similar posts right before each album era, but I definitely have faith that this era could be something VERY special, fingers crossed!

The only thing I'm hoping for is that Storyteller opens with a higher number than Blown Away did (267,000) during the first week. I think it might because of the better promotion Carrie Underwood will receive now that Randy Goodman is head of Sony Nashville. I was disappointed when Greatest Hits: Decade #1 opened with 94,000 in sales. That was released during the Christmas holiday and I was hoping for bigger numbers. I do see a very successful era for Underwood ahead.

I was disappointed when Greatest Hits: Decade #1 opened with 94,000 in sales. That was released during the Christmas holiday and I was hoping for bigger numbers. I do see a very successful era for Underwood ahead. 94k seems like a low number, relative to her other albums. However, because it was a double-disc, and RIAA counts one unit as two sales, technically 188k was the tally for the first week. Also, in the end, the 'Hits' album is still selling 2k a week, and is at 384k, which is VERY impressive for a double-disc 'Hits' collection, I think. For Storyteller, I'm guessing a number similar to Blown Away's would be reasonable for the first week. 300k is possible, and depending on how big Smoke Break is and her promotion, 300k+ could even turn out to be likely. For now, I'm thinking somewhere in the 250k ballpark would be a reasonable estimate. Blown Away was her first and only Spring release; as far as I know, Fall releases tend to post bigger numbers. BUT it is 3.5 years later and albums sales have surely slipped since then, so I'm not sure. Perhaps the Fall release will only make up for the 3.5 year sales difference, if that?... Not sure of the stats at all... In the end, I'd be happy with around 250k, any more would be icing on the cake. I am slightly disappointed that she may not get the #1 album due to her competition that week, 5 Seconds of Summer, but you NEVER know. Carrie is known to exceed expectations and break records, so we'll see!

Has anyone confirmed the Fallon appearance on Sept 10? I haven't seen an official source yet.
What is confirmed for that date is her presentation of Calia's fall collection at New York Fashion Week. The article says "(s)he's also expected to announce new developments with her line". I wonder what those could be. Maybe casual wear, including boots? She's been wearing those a lot lately --- tank top or shirt + Daisy Dukes + boots.
She could tape her Fallon appearance that same day I suppose, but a confirmed source would be nice.

"It's time." ~tears~
Also a 9/10 Fallon appearance would make sense, and the CU News outlets that normally report things & are followed by Carrie on Twitter have also reported the appearance, too, so all we're really needing is a confirmation from the network or something.

Carrie has some stiff competition in 5SOS but if she can get over 250,000 copies sold in the first week or the #1 album (or both!), that would be excellent! And I see sales being steady, with the time of the year. And a new single will probably come out when the holidays/Black Friday rolls around so we can't forget that.

As long as promo stays consistent and prominent, I don't see why she wouldn't be able to go Gold before the end of the year.
As of now, I'd love to peg her at a 200k opening, but to keep my hopes from being crushed, I'll float in the 175k range. The fact that she swung a ~100k opening for her double-disc GH set 2 weeks post-Black Friday has me optimistic that the sales could be higher than what I'm currently sitting on, though.

When is the Apple Music free trial over? I know it's had a huge impact on single sales, so I wonder if it affects album sales the same way?

I signed up a little bit later, and my trial ends October 10th.

STFU!? Correct me if I'm wrong, but this is Carrie's first time judging anything, right? So cool!!! I love that she's delving into the fashion industry a bit, she's always been a fashion A-lister, glad she's banking on that a little bit; obviously with Calia, and now this.
