Kelsea Ballerini was there. Windmills theorizes Kelsea will be Carrie's special guest on tour.

I would love to hear a mashup of Before He Cheats/Love Me Like You Mean It on a Carrie Underwood/Kelsea Ballerini tour!

I could see Kelsea as her opener, and I think it'd be really, really smart.

So much great Carrie news lately. *The Calia/NY fashion week stuff doesn't interest me, but what an AWESOME opportunity for Carrie, and it's great that she's already in a position to expand it. *I'm in full support of a female opening act for Carrie; Kelsia seems to be on the verge of becoming Country's new "it girl," and I think it'd be cool for Carrie to give her a shot on her first major tour. *I am so f**king STOKED for this album, after getting the tracklist + songwriters; I really feel like Carrie's "Magnum Opus" is going to come this era. *I'm most excited to hear "Relapse" (what a GREAT title), Like I'll Never Love You Again and Coctaw County Affair, but there are some really great tittles here. * I LOVE leilamaurizia's theory about the "Storyteller" videos/singles following a theme, to tell the story of the album. That kind of creativity would be so fun, from a fan prospective. There are three things I've always wanted from Carrie: A fantastic (Country)story song, a cohesive album with no filler, and that one song that is good enough to be considered THE best song of her career. I feel like she's gonna deliver on more than one of those promises.

I'd imagine Carrie will be on his show around the album release date... Or, right before the CMAs.

I personally don't see Ballerini as a good fit for Carrie's StoryTeller tour. Just my opinion.

A lot of Carrie fans seem to be Kelsea fans, based on twitter. So it seems like it would be a good fit. I've said this before, but I'd love to see this as an all-girls tour. If Kelsea is the main opener, I want to see someone like Cam as a second opener. Carrie's always had a male (or group - LBT) opener, though, so we'll see what happens.

If the storytelling theory about the continuation of music videos is correct, I think it's an absolutely brilliant idea! That said.... I dislike that it would mean all the singles are already set in stone. Unless... maybe they can make it a "choose your own ending" type. #halfkidding Why? I only know a few songs from Kelsea, but from what I've heard, I think she's a talented young writer, with a great voice and infectious personality/stage presence. On top of that, Carrie and Kelsea both seem to be very supportive of one another. So I think she would be a great choice for an opener.

So... Carrie may love football, and she may sing for the NFL, but she certainly can't throw or kick a football. Watching her try was hilarious, nonetheless!
Her performance of "Smoke Break" was excellent! She looked amazing as well...

How does Carrie manage to look younger as she ages. She looked 25 during the interview.

It's interesting she has played guitar in the first two performances of the song. Maybe they are trying to get across to people that she's an artist (i.e. writer)?
I thought Carrie seemed a little...reserved during the interview.

I thought Carrie seemed a little...reserved during the interview. I think you're right, I think she's pushing the artist side of her this era. I think it's a good move just as long as she remains genuine doing it. She was a little reserved at first, but opened up towards the end of the interview. She's always been shy... I think it takes a few minutes for her to get truly comfortable.

Aren't the singles usually set in stone pretty soon after the era begins, though? I thought it was standard practice to have singles chosen in advance. I'd love the continuation theme, and having that kind of era would also be completely different from what everyone else is doing. "Renegade Runaway" sounds so good; I pre-ordered the album a few days ago, I can't wait. Honestly, I don't think I've been this excited for a Carrie era since "Carnival Ride," and all that we have seen/heard so far has me intrigued.

That Fallon performance is my first time hearing that background singer. I agree with the others who say she has got to GO! Her voice is distracting and not in the good way. At the very least, the volume of her mic should be turned down. Other than that and the band being a bit too loud during the choruses, great over-all Fallon appearance. They always seem to have fun. My fave is still the pie chart discussion interview though. That was classic!

I met and worked with her today because of my job! She was lovely and funny and I got to take a selfie with her too. And her team was great (which is unusual for a team as big as hers was).
