It's not working for me either on Spotify. Even when I go do it from their site. I click play and Carrie just stares back doing nothing.

I have now heard it and I think I can say it is my favorite of the 3. The production is incredible.

"Renegade Runaway" is perfection in every sense. Everyone else can step aside.
Girl had me worried with Smoke Break & Heartbeat.
Welcome back, Country queen.

Unless this is fake and/or fan-made, it looks like we're getting a "Storyteller" commercial!

Make sure to watch Carrie's newest Periscope session featuring Mama Underwood. They're hilarious! Not familiar with Periscope, but are videos on there available for a short period only? It says that the video session has ended?

Make sure to watch Carrie's newest Periscope session featuring Mama Underwood. They're hilarious! Not familiar with Periscope, but are videos on there available for a short period only? It says that the video session has ended? You can still replay within 24 hours after the stream ended, so just click the play button. I hope someone is able to cap it though like the session where Carrie was answering questions. ETA: I have a US iTunes account even though I'm in the Philippines so I have to wait with the US peeps while the Asians and Australians get to buy Carrie stuff earlier. Apparently though, streaming availability follows the same rule... so yes! I can listen early! There are so few benefits to being across the world when you're a Carrie fan, let me enjoy this one. Bought RR! We only have a few days to recover before WINKIAW comes out.

Jason Scott, of Popdust, received a copy of Storyteller for review. Here are some of his tweets:

LOVE, LOVE 'Runaway'- probably in my top 3 favourite Carrie uptempos with 'Cheats' and 'Blown'. The vocals, production, and lyrics which conjure imagery are just perfect. This song is in a different class than the first two we have heard, and I hope it is a single !

With SmB, HB, and now RR, Storyteller is sure living up to its name. RR is so different but still country. Love it.

^^^yea, she not Rihanna, Miley, or Katy Perry, she's Carrie Marie Underwood. I've seen some really nasty comments on Twitter concerning Carrie. They can't believe a woman can be beautiful, successful, have a great family life, and still be the really "nice" person that she projects. Well, like it or not, she is exactly the person that the article describes. She's a great singer and a great person, and obviously thinks of others. Some people are always saying, there they go again, those crazy Carrie fans. Well, if you can't defend someone like Carrie, who can you defend.

"Renegade Runaway" has single handedly changed the way I'm looking at this era. It's incredible. I've actually grown to like Heartbeat more as a result of Renegade Runaway.

Not even fair. The flawless SITW deserves a Grammy. Certainly over both LTG and SmB.

Not even fair. The flawless SITW deserves a Grammy. Certainly over both LTG and SmB. SITW won Country Solo Vocal last year. The injustices this year would be both SB and LTG getting robbed of nominations due to split voting, or SB getting in over LTG. It'd be killer to see 'Guns' get nominated for Country Solo Vocal.

Since it's a special committee that chooses the final Grammy nominations in the country field from among the top fifteen or twenty vote-getters in each of the country categories, I think the challenge will be getting either one of Carrie's songs in that top group of fifteen or twenty this year. If one of Carrie's songs does make that group, then given Carrie's Grammy history, I like her odds of making the nominations. Personally, "Little Toy Guns" is among my favorite Carrie songs ever and I absolutely love its central metaphor, so I'm with 14887fan in hoping that it's the Carrie song that gets through. "Smoke Break" may be more front of mind for voters because it's out now, though. While I do like it, it doesn't feel undeniable to me. I also concede that "Little Toy Guns"' commercial impact (which was good, just not spectacular) was such that it doesn't feel undeniable in the way that "Blown Away" and "Something in the Water" (for example) did. And given that the Grammy country categories have historically given fair and deserved shots to non-radio fare (of which there is some terrific stuff this year, including Ashley Monroe's "The Blade," anything from the Chris Stapleton album & Kacey's "Dime Store Cowgirl"), even making the top fifteen or twenty will be difficult. So I wouldn't be shocked if Carrie didn't quite make the Grammy nominations this year. I obviously hope that she does, though. If I'm not mistaken, iTunes hasn't yet activated the "instant grat" for "Renegade Runaway," so its current iTunes chart position (of #77 all-genre, #14 country) is purely from people buying the individual track (as opposed to "Heartbeat," whose sales position has been strongly correlated with the rise in Storyteller pre-orders at iTunes since sometime last Friday morning). Is it possible that Sony Nashville asked iTunes to hold off on activating the "Renegade Runaway" instant grat while waiting out Friday's other new track releases, or is it an iTunes glitch?

I think they would have been smarter to enter just one song for the bunch, but I have little doubt something of Carrie's will make the final round of voting. I, too, would prefer LTG. But from a promotional standpoint, I think they'd prefer "Smoke Break" get the nomination(s). With this said, I think between SB and LTG, LTG has a much better shot at actually winning a Grammy. Because of this, I think they might have submitted both - to cover the bases, for lack of a better phrase...
