WHOA, Relapse! I agree with Dauphin. "Sensual" is right. That first verse ending with "what... can... it... hurt" and then the build-up to the chorus-- I felt the heat and I could imagine the hot, hot sex. *fans self* I know, right? I just can't get over it. It's my favorite song based on a few listens, but I'll have to go back to the first half of the album when I can (for now, I'm relapsing on "Relapse").

For those in the it's-Friday-already timezone, Storyteller is on Spotify already. After you buy elsewhere, STREAM, STREAM, STREAM!

HOLY S**T! The album is so good I could cry!!! :'( Take a bow, Queen Carrie!!! I stopped at EVERY.SINGLE.TRACK. To marvel and replay it. WOW. :o I can confidently say I have zero urge to skip ANY song, not even Smoke Break! (that's my least favourite) Choctaw HAS to be a single! LINLYA >>>>>>>>>>>>> Heartbeat TGYTIA and LINLYA are AMAAAZING! Together with WINKIAW and I'd even count Heartbeat, my ballad-loving heart is so freakin' happpyyyy! Her best collection of ballads on an album, BY FARRR.

Just downloaded it. I'll be giving it a listen today! So excited!!! I listened to a few seconds of each as I was adding them into my ITunes account and I can already tell this thing is epic!

Haven't been here in ages but so psyched for this album! I've only listened to the back half of the album so far starting with LINLYA since they had the clips I liked best ("Relapse" and "Clock Don't Stop" have such stunning choruses in particular they were stuck in my head after just a few plays). "Chaser" is much improved from the clip and the bridge is freaking epic. Haven't listened to everything yet but no signs of songs that make me totally facepalm like "One Way Ticket"/"Nobody Ever Told You"/"Who Are You" on the last album. Still need to listen to the rest! I'm resigned Carrie's never going to release my faves off her albums ("Starts with Goodbye"/"You Won't Find This"/"What Can I Say"/"Good in Goodbye") as singles since they're too poppy/relationshippy or whatever, but I appreciate that she continues to put them on her album for those of us who like that kind of stuff.

Adele is releasing her single and video tomorrow. Album pre-order will also be available so expect all-Adele-everywhere. At least she didn't surprise-release the album tomorrow. Thinking positively, maybe the extra attention to iTunes can also help people see that Carrie's album is out. HOLY S**T! The album is so good I could cry!!! :'( Take a bow, Queen Carrie!!! I stopped at EVERY.SINGLE.TRACK. To marvel and replay it. WOW. :o Told ya! I had to pause once in a while to marvel. Marvel is exactly the word for it. "Chaser" is much improved from the clip and the bridge is freaking epic. Oooh, thanks for pointing out the bridge. I went back and listened again. You're right! I see people in CF loving Mexico. Hasn't clicked with me yet. I'm still on the Relapse-Chaser train. And TGYTIA is much better than I expected and so personal.

Working through the album sporadically. Just listened to "Relapse", "Church Bells", "Dirty Laundry", 'Choctaw', and "Chaser". Let's gather in a circle and have a brief moment of silence, y'all. Fold your hands and pray. All together now: We are not worthy. Y'all this is getting AOTY at the CMA/ACMs. Miranda will likely release another album before the next CMAs and Grammys, I wouldn't get ahead of ourselves.

I have absolutely no clue how I'm going to rank these songs... There's like seven tied for the top spot, and I'd feel guilty placing any of them in last. Hearing this album makes me want to punch the NYT critic square in the face.

Not too worried about Adele releasing her single tomorrow. If anything, she'll handily top the iTunes Songs chart and have a main page banner. Shouldn't affect album purchases for Carrie at all. News will definitely be all over her, but Carrie's got promo and enough reviews coming out over the next few days to keep herself well off.

Smoke Break is the worst song on the album. I have no idea whose idea it was for that song to be the first single. That said, I love Church Bells. Chaser/Relapse are great as well.

I can't find where y'all are downloading this album - I only can find links that make me take a "quiz" or "survey" before the download begins :(. Can someone PM a link?

I just finished listening and I thought the album had some great moments (Smoke Break, Chaser, Clock Don't Stop and Runaway Renegade) I feel like it didn't quite hit me as much as her last album and debut did. I could see this being a grower. If I had to pick the second single, I would go with "Runaway Renegade".

It's really cute, I wouldn't mind it as track #14. Too bad it's a Target bonus track.

It needs to be CCA, she sounds so comfortable singing it. Jesus Christ, she sounds so good.

^Wait til midnight in your time zone. Carrie sounds better on "Heartbeat" tonight than in the Target video, which was a bit too nasally for my tastes, although I heard she was sick then? "See You Again" mashup is getting stronger live too--it was always a disappointment to me last tour that SYA wasn't included and when she did perform it live it wasn't quite as good as what it is on the record and I'm used to her being better live, but she sounds fantastic on it now. I listened to the whole record twice on stream this morning but I'm waiting for midnight to get my official iTunes copy to listen again. I haven't really absorbed the lyrics for the songs except for the pre-release ones, but I absolutely love it sonically because there's just so many textures to her voice. The production is "loud" for a country record but it's a lot more diverse than "Carnival Ride", which was also loud but mostly drenched in strings and drum machines. The beginning of "Chaser" reminds me of the intro to "Twisted," in my mind storyline-wise it could be a sequel, like when she was naive she was into this bad boy but now she's wiser and seeing things more clearly.

Literally died after listening to the album.
It's freaking awesome!!!!!
It has Some Hearts' rawness and innocence. It has Carnival Ride's consistency. It has Play On's vocal characteristic. It has Blown Away's intensity and drama and epicness.
The reviewers who said this album was not consistent can suck his own ball.
I didn't skip any song at all. Even Smoke Break, the weakest song on the album IMO is still enjoyable.
Loving the album.

This album is INCREDIBLE! The drama songs are movie quality. The love songs are bedroom quality. The sweet songs are tearjerking quality. I can't wait to watch this era pan out and CMA give Carrie a G-Damn award this time! It's been her year and next year after her tour the EOTY award MUST be hers!

Just a few thoughts that I feel like putting out into the universe... - The reoccurring imagery throughout the album is a nice touch. She wasn't playing about the alcohol references. "Wine After Whiskey"'s impact is real!
- It's nice to see her humor finally shining on an album. "Choctaw County Affair" is pure dark comedy, "Dirty Laundry" sounds like it could've been co-written by Brandy Clark and I live for the Had too much fun being blonde / I'll be the brunette line in "Mexico."
- I love that there isn't a trace of self-pity in "Relapse." She's in total control, she knows the relationship is unhealthy, but she faces the consequences anyway.
ETA: I wasn't expecting "Like I'll Never Love You Again" to be so suggestive. She needs to serve sex more.
