Got an email from Sony Nashville last night -- Storyteller is currently priced at $7.99 on iTunes, and her greatest hits album is only $0.99 on Google Play right now! Chris Janson's album is also $0.99 on Google Play as well Damn and right after I paid full price for it on Amazon (using a gift card, but still). I got Storyteller for Christmas -- I got so far behind on new music this fall that I'm still catching up. I did listen to it when it was first released but I literally hadn't listened to it at all since then, but now I own the album and I've got a few days off, so I'll be able to spend some time with new Carrie music :)

5 songs from her Apple Music Festival performance this past September have been put up for sale as a video album on iTunes. Just search "Carrie Underwood Apple" and it'll come up. The album includes "Blown Away", "Smoke Break", "I Know You Won't", "See You Again" mashup, and "Before He Cheats".

Her performance of it at the festival was one of her best ever... I loved the energy in the arena during the song.

Maybe Carrie Underwood can pull a Zac Brown Band and get her Greatest Hits: Decade #1 back into the top ten. Greatest Hits: Decade #1 is at #9 after being at #23 the previous week. Joins the #2 Storyteller.

Any updates on the setlist of her concert today? I'm very interested to hear which new songs she'll do. I know "Smoke Break" and "Heartbeat" are definite, and I think I read she did "Church Bells" at soundcheck. Praying for "Choctaw County Affair", "Dirty Laundry", and "Relapse"!

Choctaw & DL also happened. Still don't know if "Relapse" happened. FOTF also returned to the setlist.

Ugh at "Before He Cheats".
"Something In The Water" and "Blown Away" are her new anthems.

Ugh at "Before He Cheats". "Something In The Water" and "Blown Away" are her new anthems. Perhaps for a very specific group of listeners. I, too, have grown tired of "Before He Cheats" being paraded around like it is Carrie's 'only' impactful song, but it would be unfair to discount it entirely. This NYE gig will appeal to a very wide audience, and "Something in the Water" is not necessarily the kind of song that would complement such an event. "BHC" will always be a safe bet where Carrie is concerned, and frankly she's rather lucky to have a 'career song' where others who have been in the industry the same length of time or longer may not.

I was under the impression she was doing a whole concert... Not just a medley. I'm so bummed. They made it seem like she'd be headlining a concert with guests in between. This lineup appears to be more of just a featuring gig for Carrie. Am I missing something, or is Carrie really only doing a three-song medley?

That (a whole concert) wasn't the way it worked when Carrie headlined previously (in 2008, I think?) -- she performed a medley of "Flat on the Floor," "All-American Girl" and "Before He Cheats" then, if I recall correctly. Headlining in this case is just about having the featured set just before the ball drops, when the most (mostly drunk?) viewers are tuned in to the broadcast.

I didn't think they'd show an entire Carrie concert, but I assumed she'd do more than a lousy medley. In the very least I'd like to think she'd get the time for three full songs? I don't remember how they did it last time when she headlined, but the commercials this year are making it seem like so much more than a short segment before the ball drop. Even the way they're promoting it on social media would have any average person thinking she was headlining an entire show, no? I mean, they're doing a countdown to it! Oh well, I still look forward to it, I was just hoping for a bit more, I guess...

Ugh at "Before He Cheats". "Something In The Water" and "Blown Away" are her new anthems. Out of those three songs, BHC is definitely, by far, the most suitable crowd-pleaser anthem for a NYE performance. The song choice I am disappointed in is actually Smoke Break. It's not even the current single, should've picked another more upbeat track to showcase the album.... unless the show's producers are not ok with album tracks.

^^Yes, BHC is basically essential for her to perform at something like this. I would take out SB and put in either SITW or BA, although I don't think either of those songs lend themselves well to a medley really.

(^ Which is why a medley shouldn't even happen, but instead have 2 separate performances. I digress.)
She'll get the prime airtime spot and we'll hopefully see a surge in iTunes because of it. I'd love to see her enter the new year back on top of the BB Country Albums chart. That'd make, what, 4 weeks at #1 for the album? Or 3? IDR.
Looking forward to it!

Carrie killed it tonight, absolutely slayed! However, it sounded to me like she was a little sick, no? She sounded great - but just a little cold-ish, it didn't hold her back at all though!

I haven't heard her perform yet because I'm on the west coast for the holiday, but I just heard her interview with Seacrest and she sounded 100% fine. No sign of a cold or anything at all. Can't wait to see her performance!

Yes i think she sounded sick especially during Heartbeat. But she still killed it. I wonder why she didn't do the 'sing along' on last chorus of BHC.

I thought she sounded fantastic. It's the best live delivery of "Heartbeat" she's given thus far. Don't know where the "sick" thing was heard.

I watched it on my phone, and she sounded a tad groggy on a few low notes and then a tad nasally on the high ones. I'll watch on my TV later, but it did seem to me like she had a bit of a cold or something.

She sounded great! Still confused how Smoke Break got the #1 single spot. Good sales though especially after a bit of a lackluster first week. Will be close to 500K before her best singles are released (IMO). I think Choctaw will be next followed by Dirty Laundry.

Both good choices for singles, but I'm thinking it'll be Dirty Laundry next followed by Church Bells. Jmo

When I saw her interview with Ryan Seacrest, I thought her hair looked great..... until I saw that it was paired with that shiny retro outfit. Really hated the combination, made her look so old. Pick one or the other please! Sorry Carrie.

I loved her performance last night, even though I wished she'd been able to just perform a couple songs in their entirety because I generally loathe medleys. But she sounded great and personally I loved her hair and makeup and wardrobe (especially the hair - yassss! wear it up more please!). Loved the "Heartbeat" bit in particular. Get that promo, Carrie! <33
