While we're talking about RUTH, I really hope it dosent win the 2022 hot 100 year end rankdown. It definitely has a chance tho. Just don't be annoying in the RDs as u were in the pop 2021 RD I'm sorry I was bitching, but it was no different from everyone bitching about Big Energy being in the top ten, so don't come at me if you're not gonna come at everyone else too.

Gabbie Hanna's debut album actually has a couple of decent songs that could probably meet their full potential with better artists that aren't absolute human dumpster fires.

Wait they are actually liked? I can't stand them and their songs lol. Definitely not my style at all, just creates a kind of vibe that I do not like. where have you heard their songs from? they've won/nearly won basically every rankdown they've been in lmao (deservedly, i should add)

I'll be the one in the minority here, Sunroof is really mediocre that gets worse with every listen.

Break My Soul is Beyonce's best top 40 hit since Sweet Dream/IASF era For sure... That means i don't really like her material in 2010s..

I like 10 Things I Hate About You more than abcdefu. My unpopular opinion with these two is that they're both great songs.

I just know I'm gonna get canceled for this, but Renaissance is mid. Beyonce is one of my favorite artists, but this album is just not it for me.

Rumors is Lizzos best song. I really like Rumors as well. I like ADT and Cuz I love You more tho. Speaking of Lizzo, my unpopular opinions about her are Truth Hurts is one of the worst songs ever. Good As Hell is bad. And my most unpopular opinion about her is that Juice is bad. Sorry, that song is just really annoying to me. That's also why I hate Good As Hell and Truth Hurts.

I prefer Kesha's recording of "This Is Me" over Keala Settle's recording. Given all that she had been through and everything up until that time, it became that much more poignant. Yes, Keala's version is more polished and she has the range for a song like that, but the struggle and strain in Kesha's makes it far more emotional.

Britney's debut is a legitimately great album, and her cover of "The Beat Goes On" is more experimental than it's given credit for.

2017 is still an amazing chart year but I think most of the hate came from the fact the pop hits were terrible but it was also a year full of trap hits which most chart watchers didn't like (and to which Pulse still doesn't like).
The hip-hop hits of 2017 are better on average than the pop ones and for all the complaints that trap "sounds the same/is about the same things", the trap hits have aged MUCH better production-wise.

I've always had a soft spot for 2017 tbh. Not my overall favourite but I weirdly have a lot of nostalgia for it. I also think it's a very varied year in terms of genres which I appreciate. Plus it produced Praying by Kesha so

I'm Upset is a masterpiece in the tread style that working on dying created and easily the best song off Scorpion. Had it been released by an artist known for playing a character and not Drake, who tries to come off as genuine, it would be greatly appreciated as an in-depth analysis of toxic male behaviour

Over a decade in and Nicki still hasn't released a good album. All of the iconic female rappers before her pulled it off. And the big ones that came after have managed to put out stronger work than her as well.
Talented rapper, but I'm still waiting for a captivating album from her.

Even after all this time, I still think Heat Waves is a great song I agree! I can defintiely understand how overplayed and tiring it is for many, especially in the pop community, but there's something about the song that doesn't get to me. I still think the production is so crisp and hypnotic, and the song itself feels like a Glass Animals song and is up there with their old stuff as fantastic, even if Dreamland itself doesn't sell me outside of a few other songs like Your Love (Deja Vu) for example. Sadly I Don't Wanna Talk (I Just Wanna Dance) was so bland. It had no Glass Animals feel to it and was just more generic to release during the hype of the unexpected indie sleeper hit happening to them.

I guess this is the perfect place to disagree with this since it's the Unpopular Opinions thread lol, but I can't say I agree. It's maybe a little more generic than "Heat Waves," but I honestly love the song. The production feels similarly dreamy/quirky and I think it works well for what it is. I'd go as far as to say both songs are among my favorite songs of the year.

I have two more here.
Blink 182 is one of the worst musical acts of all time. They just sound so annoying.
Love Takes Time has aged the best, and is the best song out of any of the songs on Mimi's debut album. The production sounds so clean, crisp, and modern.

I like Daya's earlier songs that a lot of people consider cringey ("Hide Away" and "Sit Still, Look Pretty"). No, they're not the most mature songs, but they're cute and fun little inoffensive bops. I would honestly say I enjoy both of those better than what she's recently put out.

I respect your opinion I like all her songs, but I love the direction she's been going in since New/Safe (the richer production and the way she's been experimenting). Given my opinion, I associate her with other artists (such as Robyn, Carly Rae Jepsen, etc) who have gotten more underrated over time despite improving their musical output
