WTF:
"Leading the new Billboard 200 is Meek Mill's Dreams Worth More Than Money, which racks up a second stanza at No. 1. The album moved 307,000 equivalent album units in the 11-day frame ending July 9. That sum combines the 246,000 units it earned in the week ending July 5 with the 61,000 units it collected between July 6 and July 9."
Why didn't they do a 5.5 day chart and then another 5.5 day chart?
The BB200 article on Saturday? Will anyone care on Saturday?
It should be out Monday morning. It's the start of the news week.
Does Billboard have any idea what they are doing?

Glad that we have a 2-week number one even if it's accomplished a bit strange way
In a month all this mess will be forgotten and we are well used to the new cycle ;)
Those numbers (61k in 4 days) reckon that Meek Mill might get a third week at #1 too.

roughstock.com/news/2015/07/36279-country-album-chart-report-july-13-2015/Country Album Chart Report for July 13, 2015Posted by Matt Bjorke on July 13, 2015 at 9:51 pm Kacey Musgraves rips #1 from labelmate Easton Corbin by less than two thousand albums in this special 11 day tracking report from SoundScan and RoughStock! The top-selling country album for a second week is Kacey Musgraves’ Pageant Material. Because of the 11 day tracking period, that means that Easton Corbin’s About To Get Real retains the #1 for last week’s chart but may get scrubbed in the future because of the chart moves due to the Friday world release day move. However the news from last Wendesday still holds true for Easton and he gets to celebrate having the #1 album on the Albums Chart (nearly 27k scanned). At #3 for the Country Album Chart Report for July 13, 2015 is Sam Hunt’s Montevallo. It sits at #3 with sales now at nearly 633k to date while Zac Brown Band’s Jekyll + Hyde sits at #4 with 436k to date. Sitting at #5 is Now Country 8. It has scanned over 62k in four weeks on the chart. Top Ten Recap Little Big Town sits at #6 with Pain Killer, a record which has scanned 287k to date. Landing at #7 is the Platinum-certified The Outsiders from Eric Church (1.001 million scanned to date). Brantley Gilbert’s Just As I Am sits at #8 with 862k scanned while Jason Aldean’s Old Boots, New Dirt. It is certified Platinum and has scanned 992k to date while holding down #9 this week. Rounding out the Top 10 of the Country Album Chart Report for July 13, 2015 is Willie Nelson and Merle Haggard’s Django & Jimmie and it has scanned 74k to date. Notables Notables include news about the latest from A Thousand Horses, Blake Shelton (now at 400k scanned), Luke Bryan, Chris Stapleton, JB & the Moonshine Band, Billy Currington, Dierks Bentley, Old Dominion, and the latest figures from the most-recent albums from “Tomatoes” Reba, Kelsea Ballerini, Miranda Lambert and Carrie Underwood and more! Top 15 Country Albums: July 13, 2015Top 5 Country Album Chart Numbers rounded to nearest hundred albums sold. Sales reflect the past 11 days as SoundScan moves from a Monday-Sunday tracking period to a Friday-Thursday sales period. This will actually now reflect a true weekly sales period for new releases unlike before where Tuesday release meant that Sunday-Monday weren’t tracked in the first week of sales. Sales reports will be reported on Monday instead of Wednesday. docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1THO23-CHM4QMhy2rczNc49g7zIPn92Ogjc1CmEq6jEc/edit?pli=1Top 10 CNTRY Artist Album Week Total Scans Total Scans 1 Easton Corbin About To Get Real 20,400 0 20,400 2 Kacey Musgraves Pageant Material 18,300 54,800 73,100 3 Sam Hunt Montevallo 14,600 609,300 623,900 4 Zac Brown Band Jekyll+Hyde 13,400 415,500 428,900 5 Various Now Country 8 9,800 48,200 58,000 6 Little Big Town Pain Killer 9,000 273,700 282,700 7 Eric Church The Outsiders 8,000 988,600 996,600 8 Brantley Gilbert Just As I Am 7,300 851,900 859,200 9 W.Nelson/M.Haggard Django & Jimmie 6,900 65,100 72,000 10 Jason Aldean Old Boots, New Dirt 6,100 982,900 989,000 Next 5 11 Florida Georgia Line Anything Goes 5,400 702,500 707,900 12 Blake Shelton Bringing Back The Sunshine 4,600 395,500 400,100 13 Canaan Smith Bronco 4,300 12,000 16,300 14 Luke Bryan Spring Break...Checkin Out 3,900 236,700 240,600 15 Carrie Underwood Greatest Hits...Decade #1 3,600 366,800 370,400 Notables -- A Thousand Horses Southernality 3,400 26,700 30,100 -- Chris Stapleton Traveller 3,400 60,400 63,800 -- Cole Swindell Cole Swindell 3,300 393,526 396,826 -- Kelsea Ballerini The First Time 3,200 33,100 36,300 -- Billy Currington Summer Forever 2,800 35,900 38,700 -- Reba Love Somebody 2,899 150,300 153,199 -- Glen Campbell I'll Be Me Soundtrack 2,600 21,700 24,300 -- Miranda Lambert Platinum 2,200 723,500 725,700 -- JB & Moonshine Band Mixtape 2,200 0 2,200 --- Dierks Bentley Riser 1,800 340,400 342,200 -- Old Dominion Old Dominion EP 900 20,800 21,700 -- Whitey Morgan Sonic Ranch 800 4,300 5,100

I don't work for Billboard, I don't even work in the music industry. I do have a .biz subscription though

Thanks for posting as always Gary
Strange way of counting that Meek Mill's sales would have increased from last week.. it hasn't sold 600k, has it? ;)

A) It looks like the data copied in your post is from an older version of the article. The Roughstock piece now lists the 11-day sales totals. B) That said, there seems to be a disparity with the data. Billboard has Easton Corbin's album at #1 for the 11-day week as well (25K). It has Kacey at #2 for a second straight chart (24K over the 11-days). I'm wondering if Roughstock accidentally posted consumption unit data rather than pure sales data (which, admittedly, would be more appropriate for the Billboard 200 thread)?

^Thanks. Here's the new article: roughstock.com/news/2015/07/36279-country-album-chart-report-july-13-2015/Country Album Chart Report for July 13, 2015Posted by Matt Bjorke on July 13, 2015 at 9:51 pm Kacey Musgraves rips #1 from labelmate Easton Corbin by less than two thousand albums in this special 11 day tracking report from SoundScan and RoughStock! Top 5 Country Albums: July 13, 2015 Top 5 Country Album Chart Numbers rounded to nearest hundred albums sold. Sales reports will be reported on Monday instead of Wednesday. docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1_cVIDdKRILq9ombqDbHRpCNY9tSEV1A4xiTGRW5C8-g/edit?pli=1#gid=0Top 10 CNTRY Artist Album Week Total Scans 1 Kacey Musgraves Paegant Material 28,500 83,300 2 Easton Corbin About To Get Real 26,700 26,700 3 Sam Hunt Montevallo 23,900 633,000 4 Zac Brown Band Jekyll+Hyde 20,500 435,900 5 Various Now Country 8 14,000 62,100 6 Little Big Town Pain Killer 13,900 287,600 7 Eric Church The Outsiders 12,500 1,001,100 8 Brantley Gilbert Just As I Am 10,600 862,500 9 Jason Aldean Old Boots, New Dirt 9,700 992,600 10 W.Nelson/M.Haggard Django & Jimmie 9,200 74,300 Next 5 11 Florida Georgia Line Anything Goes 8,900 711,400 12 Blake Shelton Bringing Back The Sunshine 7,400 401,400 13 Canaan Smith Bronco 6,300 18,400 14 Luke Bryan Crash My Party 6,100 2,477,900 15 Chase Rice Ignite The Night 6,000 261,200 Notables -- Cole Swindell Cole Swindell 5,800 398,800 -- Carrie Underwood Greatest Hits: Decade #1 5,300 372,100 -- Chris Stapleton Traveller 5,200 64,900 -- Kelsea Ballerini The First Time 5,200 38,300 -- A Thousand Horses Southernality 5,000 32,300 -- Billy Currington Summer Forever 4,200 40,700 -- Reba Love Somebody 4,000 154,300 -- Miranda Lambert Platinum 3,400 726,900 -- Glen Campbell I'll Be Me Soundtrack 3,000 23,100 --- Dierks Bentley Riser 2,900 343,300 -- JB & Moonshine Band Mixtape 2,600 2,600 -- Old Dominion Old Dominion EP 2,100 22,900 Cam Welcome To Cam Country 1,600 6,500 Whitey Morgan Sonic Ranch 1,000 4,700 Dale Watson Call Me Insane 700 2,400

Thanks for posting as always Gary Strange way of counting that Meek Mill's sales would have increased from last week.. it hasn't sold 600k, has it? ;) No Meek Mill has sold 43000 during the 4 days that were not in the prior chart, would still be #1 though.
This 11 day chart contains the same 7 days that were in the 7/18 chart

SoundScan had to re-run their charts so here is the corrected Billboard 200 article:
Meek Mill Reigns Again at No. 1 on Billboard 200 Chart By Keith Caulfield | July 12, 2015 12:25 PM EDT Editor's note: This story was updated at 12:30 p.m. PT on July 13 after Nielsen Music revised its sales data. The unit totals for all titles in the top 10 have changed, as have some of the rankings.
The first Billboard 200 albums chart impacted by the new global release day -- and Nielsen Music's shift in tracking weeks -- has arrived.
With Friday now the new release day for most major albums (beginning July 10), Nielsen Music will alter its sales tracking week to Friday through Thursday, instead of the traditional Monday through Sunday.
Billboard to Alter Chart Tracking Week for Global Release Date
-- Last week's Billboard 200 (dated July 18) was the final chart to use the Monday through Sunday tracking frame (week ending July 5).
-- Next week's Billboard 200 (dated Aug. 1) will be the first to use Friday through Thursday tracking frame (week ending July 16 data).
-- This week's Billboard 200 (dated July 25) acts as a transition chart between the two different tracking cycles, and reflects a one-time only 11-day sales tracking frame (ending July 9).
The new July 25-dated chart is, as one would expect, very similar to the July 18 chart. That's not only because of the extended 11-day tracking frame that overlaps with the July 18 chart, but also because so few new albums were released between July 6-9.
Leading the new Billboard 200 is Meek Mill's Dreams Worth More Than Money, which racks up a second stanza at No. 1. The album moved 289,000 equivalent album units in the 11-day frame ending July 9. That sum combines the 246,000 units it earned in the week ending July 5 with the 42,000 units it collected between July 6 and July 9.
Taylor Swift's 1989 rises 3-2 (70,000 units), Miguel's Wildheart slips 2-3 (60,000) and Ed Sheeran's X holds at No. 4 (58,000). Sam Hunt's Montevallo moves 8-5 (44,000 units), James Taylor's Before This World descends 5-6 (40,000), Breaking Benjamin's Dark Before Dawn falls 6-7 (39,000), the Magic Mike XXL soundtrack shimmies 10-8 (nearly 39,000) and X Ambassadors' VHS dips 7-9 (37,000). Maroon 5's V rounds out the top 10, stepping 11-10 with 36,000.
As noted earlier, since there were so few new releases issued between July 6-9, very few titles debut on the new chart. Just three albums debut this week, led by Jake Miller's Rumors EP, which starts at No. 118 with 8,000 units. The set was released on July 8.
All of Billboard's charts dated July 25, including the Billboard 200, will be posted to Billboard's websites on Tuesday, July 14. Going forward, the top 10 of the Billboard 200 is scheduled to be revealed in a news story on Billboard's sites every Saturday, while the full chart will refresh the following Tuesday at billboard.com/charts.

Yeah, the Saturday article is an oddity.
Also- it looks like the SoundScan name is no more? All I've been seeing is Nielsen Music.

The online airplay charts show "Powered by Nielsen BDS," though, Hmmm...

Anybody try to compute the 7/25 chart for just the 4 days that is unique to the 7/25 chart (leaving out the 7 days that the 7/18 chart covers)?

Gary may want to repost the album charts as they have been edited, not sure whether Billboard.biz will update them later but there have been some changes to the album charts. For example, on the Billboard 200, Lauren Daigle's "How Can It Be" stays on the Billboard 200, Jeremy Camp's "I Will Follow" re-enters the chart at #197, and Old Dominion's EP debuts at #200 instead of #198 as previously posted. www.billboard.com/charts/billboard-200
