what happened to "What Went Down"?
did it ever go for adds or was it just a buzz single? I don't think it was as radio friendly as My Number or Inhaler but probably stood a chance at charting reasonably well.

Looking through Mediabase it looks most stations only played it a handful of times. Don't think it went for adds officially. I hope this single is closer to "My Number" or some of the other catchy songs on the last album so they can finally have a breakthrough hit.

Definitely less ambient and more "rock" than I'm used to, but somehow it's still so them and I still love it!

Dang, this is really good. I think I may like it more than What Went Down, which I loved.

This is the best song I've heard from Foals, but I'm having a hard overall time getting into them. I just don't know what it is.

They really sound good as a band, but for me the lyrics kind of lack something - felt the same way about My Number
They would be a lot of fun to jam with though lol

Sounds better with each subsequent listen. This just may be their "next level" breakout single.

This actually isn't bad. Better than both "Inhaler" and "My Number" IMO.

Still think Inhaler is their best ever (except for perhaps the live version of "Two Steps, Twice") but that's probably the guitarist in me just admiring the brilliant riffs throughout that one.
This has a chance for Alternative success, I think, even though it's not quite as catchy as My Number. What Went Down is probably just too aggressive for the format nowadays, which is unfortunate.

Nothing special, except the chorus which is a tad foot tapping worthy. This song has an overall style, I'm tired of hearing. After previewing some of their older stuff: I kinda wish they went back to sounding like they did on 2010's Cassius" They sounded like Mexican Rock band ; Fobia. "My Number" was also Indie Rock that is more my style.

They certainly had a sound then that was closer to My Number. Foals is often stronger live than on record, I would say - the BBC recently did an in-studio performance where they debuted a new song, "A Knife in the Ocean" which may or may not end up being a single. Wonderful renditions of Inhaler, My Number, What Went Down, and Mountain At My Gates in there too.

I went by what was posted on youtube. You are right? Total Life Forever is a good album. Once "Blue Blood starting kicked into full gear; it was hard to turn off.

This is what "Something from Nothing" would sound like if indie rockers replaced the Foos, and that's a very good thing. I like the build-up at the end.

This song is pretty good, so is the new album. I like it a lot.
I'm feeling the heavier sound they have put into their music since Holy Fire (I still love "Inhaler" and "Providence" ; "Snake Oil" from What Went Down is pretty enjoyable). While I'm also feeling their lighter songs such as "My Number", "Late Night", "London Thunder" or "Birch Tree".

So this slowed down, and it needs to pick back up immediately or it might miss top 20.

This song is great, yet it's stalling. Hopefully, once some songs start falling it can start gaining spins again.
