CFMF OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO IS COMING SOON! PROBABLY THE LAST WEEK AT #1 FOR OMI!! Considering there's three days of streaming from tomorrow to the cutoff period, I think Cheerleader will hang on next week. But the week after will be anybody's guess. It depends on how big the streaming is. Three days can be enough is he has high streaming. He also just took the number one spot on iTunes, and it's gaining impressively, and the video has yet to be released. There's a good chance of it taking the number one this week. Can't believe it!! Shake it off stays at #47 for one more week (Non-mover 47-47) !!! So far it has spent 49 wks on chart!!! I have a hunch though it's not gonna make 50 wks hahahaha! Well if it does manage to stay on the chart next week, it will tie You Belong With Me for the most weeks on chart out of all her songs! I would be happy if it passed it as it's quite possibly my favorite song from her and I was never really a fan of YBWM. If it somehow manages three more weeks then it would be her first song to make a year on the chart!  |

It's curious that Shake It Off has outlived the two following singles - Blank Space and Style.

It's curious that Shake It Off has outlived the two following singles - Blank Space and Style. Usher did the same thing in 2004 when "Yeah" outlived "Burn" and "Confessions" (and they were all #1s too!) |

There was an interesting discussion about this in the 2015 Hot 100 Charts thread not too long ago. Other examples: - "We Found Love" outlasted "You Da One", "Talk That Talk", and almost "Birthday Cake" too (WFL fell off one week before BC did.) - "Party Rock Anthem" outlasted "Sexy And I Know It" and "Sorry For Party Rocking" (Credit to @markg94 for finding this one.) |
