The production was anything but quiet, but I guess we'll just disagree there, lol. I don't mind the message in the song but the lyrics chosen to get it across came across as sappy and vapid. LeAnn sounds good but she's had better vocal performances. The fact the song was so grossly overplayed only made me not like the song more.

To this day it's the only LeAnn song I vehemently disliked. But that's just my opinion; I know I'm in the minority. :)

That. I'm not a fan of motivational type songs most of the time, nor of generic motivational platitudes. And since I've never been a parent, nor had a parent who motivated me in that fashion (not that my mom didn't motivate me at all, she just had a different way of doing it), I just had no takeaway from the song.

I also think the song is extremely cold and sterile sounding, and about as far removed as possible from the rest of Lee Ann Womack's twangy neo-trad. Remember only a year prior, she was doing things like "A Little Past Little Rock". Literally the only part I can give any credit to is Sons of the Desert's counterpoint, which is more because Drew Womack (no relation) has a killer voice.
