Alright let's do it. 1993 was a very pivotal year for me...probably the first year that I really had a full grasp of everything that was on country radio. It would've been the first year I joined the George Strait fan club (at the age of 10), so it was certainly a year of influence. Again, most of my 90's list is based strictly on favoritism lol.
Favorite Male Performances: 1. "A Thousand Miles From Nowhere," Dwight Yoakam 2. "Heartland," George Strait 3. "Easy Come, Easy Go," George Strait 4. "Still Got A Couple of Good Years Left," Ricky Van Shelton 5. "Old Country," Mark Chesnutt 6. "Can't Break It To My Heart," Tracy Lawrence 7. "When Did You Stop Loving Me," George Strait 8. "Look At You Girl," Chris Ledoux 9. "Learning to Live Again," Garth Brooks 10. "Ain't That Lonely Yet," Dwight Yoakam - Runner up's - "Alibis," Tracy Lawrence "Live Until I Die," Clay Walker "I Never Knew Love," Doug Stone "Tonight I Climbed the Wall," Alan Jackson "From the Word Love," Ricky Skaggs

I was 6 in 1993. This is near the tail end of the super-awareness of country radio that I had in the first half of the decade. TOP 44. Tracy Byrd - Why Don’t That Telephone Ring Glad to see this one mentioned! This song never caught my ear until years later when I finally appreciated it in my later years. I also realize I forgot to mention "Holdin' Heaven" in my list for 1993. Looking back I'd say that was one of my favorite songs on the radio that year. I remember taking a trip to Yellowstone National Park with my mom and having to stop somewhere along the way in Wyoming to pick up his cassette tape so I could listen to that song over and over.
