I don't think I know more than five Depeche Mode songs and honestly am not a big fan of them at all, so I'm going to sit this one out. I look forward to the next one though!

I'm shocked he managed to find a "Enjoy the Silence" cover I didn't know existed. I bet you don't know this one: I think there is an unwritten law that every musician must remake Depeche Mode or Cyndi Lauper at one point in their career.

I hadn't logged in for a while. Love Depeche Mode. Happy to catch this just in time. Such a huge catalog though, jeez.

A lot of my favorite bands have covered Depeche Mode(Deftones, Chevelle, Smashing Pumpkins, A Perfect Circle) so you can beat your ass that heavily influenced my top ten. I think only one song on my ten hasn't been covered(at least to my knowledge)

Pulse Top 10s #10 - Depeche Mode - Results
The voting for our first classic vote comes to a close, with 14 posters submitting responses. The songs were scattered across almost every album in Depeche Mode's lengthy discography. In the end, Enjoy The Silence dominated the field, showing up in every single submitted ballot. Also this vote welcomed hc to the panel, adding a new member to the ranks. I'm not sure when we'll do a classic vote again but it was a fun experience (especially for me due to my poor Depeche Mode knowledge prior to the vote) for now we'll head back to the main ballot for the 11th artist and beyond. Thanks for the votes! Nice cross section of their discography. Glad Enjoy the Silence was the overwhelming #1 over Personal Jesus. Oscar method: 1 Enjoy the Silence 4+2+2 2 Never Let Me Down Again 3+2+1 3 Precious 2+1 => Never Let Me Down Again + Enjoy The Silence + Enjoy the Silence 4 Personal Jesus 1 => Precious 4 Blasphemous Rumours 1 => Never Let Me Down Again 4 Barrel Of A Gun 1 => Never Let Me Down Again 4 Behind the Wheel 1 => Enjoy the Silence 4 Master And Servant 1 => Enjoy the Silence

Pleasantly surprised to not be the only person to list both "Suffer Well" and "Heaven". Not so surprised with the top 3. The two most universally beloved DM singles and their most beloved single of the current millennium. Makes sense.

RIP Scott Weiland. I know myself and others didn't vote for them this past week, but I would surely like to rank Stone Temple Pilots songs immediately next rather than whoever we chose. do others feel the same?

I've been voting for STP and Velvet Revolver off and on, so I'm on Board. Also "Master And Servant at #17 is an outrage. > At least "Just Can't Get Enough" made the top 10.

Maybe do. Scott Weiland round that can span STP, Velvet Revolver, and his solo work.

I just got lazy this round -_- DM just has such a huge discography, I didn't feel like listening to all of it, and I feel like I'd be selling them short just going with the singles I know. Enjoy the Silence at #1 was predictable. I don't think I would have voted for it, though.
As far as an STP round, I don't really care. I mean, not to sound like an insensitive dick, but I'm not a huge Scott Weiland fan, so I'd probably just sit it out if everyone else wants to do it.

I did take your guys comments about STP into consideration, but I ultimately decided that after having people put their in votes for the next artist it would be unfair to them to not have that artist be the next vote. Please throw as much support as you wish behind STP in the open fields this week, they have some points from past weeks left over and with a decent push they could easily make the ballot next week. So without further ado, here are the voting results: R.E.M. - 6Radiohead - 5 Deftones - 4 Nickelback - 4 Nirvana - 4 Queens Of The Stone Age - 4 blink-182 - 3 Incubus - 3 Pearl Jam - 3The Cars - 2The new songs joining the ballot this week are re-entry Alice In Chains and newcomer Coldplay. The Cars drop off this week but with support they could easily return. Here's the link to the ballot! Voting for R.E.M. will close Wednesday, December 16th at Midnight EST. Thanks for voting!

This shall be fun. I have quite a few albums from R.E.M., but I'd guess most or all of my votes will be singles since there are so man.
