New artists Kelsea Ballerini and Sam Hunt both have country pop songs in which the hook is a unique twist on using the word "ex." Which song do you prefer?

Kelsea Ballerini's song, by far.
There's an extent to which "XO" is overrated. It's not that it's a bad song (it's actually a very good song), but I'm always perplexed when people cite this song as proof that Kelsea's album contains some authentic "country." I'd put this song in the same genre as "Telescope" from Nashville.
But "X2C" is a sonic abomination. I personally see Sam Hunt as a more dynamic talent (and he's obviously a much bigger star), and I actually do like the song's narrative, but the vocals and production are just hideous. It comes off like a Nickelback song - and completely belies the smooth swagger of his debut album.

"Ex To See" gets my vote, but I love both of these.
I really hope "XO" can be a single at some point. It's one of the better songs on the album.
