Nice to see that Tracy did re-enter at #50. The biggest surprise was Trace Adkins re-entering at #59 with "I Got My Game On". I had put that one out of my memory.
Tracy was off the chart for 19 weeks as his last week on the chart was back on the 9/1/07 chart.
Trace & Dolly were last on the chart on 12/1, Gretchen was 12/8, Cole Deggs was 12/15 and Crossin Dixon & Big and Rich were on the 12/29 chart.

^ cool! carrie would be on there 2 more times if SS and W went #1 for another week :) Good point! And Amy Dalley would have made the list 4 times, if she'd just managed to reach #1 and stay there for 4 weeks, 4 times. It's frustrating when they come so close.

Billboard: • Billy Ray Cyrus achieves his seventh top 10 hit on the Hot Country Songs chart -- and first since 1999 -- as "Ready, Set, Don't Go" moves from No. 11 to No. 10 this week. The song, a collaboration with daughter Miley, is his first top 10 single since "Busy Man" reached No. 3 back in 1999 ... In other news on the Hot Country Songs chart, Joe Nichols notches his highest debut ever on the list, as "It Ain't No Crime" bows at No. 45. His previous best start came with "Another Side of You" last year when it started at No. 50.

Alright, EYB! There may be a totally useless, space hogging re-entry by B&D, but I'm still happy.

I checked on him the day after the R&R chart was put up, adn his Mediabase audience totals had fallen to around .250. I don't know what they are now, but I'd assume that he was dropped.

Looks like the Sugarland curse hits again. Since billboard changed from Spins to Audience to determine the country chart, Sugarland has had 3 songs (Baby Girl, Something More, and now Stay) spend a week at #1 in spins but not inaudience. If not for Billboard changing their policy on the country chart, Sugarland would have 5 #1s instead of just 2.

Hold a sec! Reba didn't even chart with Only Promise did she? So she charts with an album cut but the label couldn't put enough effort to actually chart a single?
I say it in about every thread that I could probably stretch into a Reba discussion but they really should hurry up and get another dang single out there.

How many #1s does this make for Brad? On Billboard's chart, 10 -- 4 early ones (He Didn't Have To Be, We Danced, I'm Gonna Miss Her, Mud on the Tires) plus the current streak of 6 (When I Get Where I'm Going, The World, She's Everything, Ticks, Online, Letter To Me). Alcohol was his last single to peak below #1.

Billboard: • Brad Paisley earns his ninth No. 1 on Hot Country Songs as "Letter to Me" bolts from No. 5 to No. 1. Not counting his Christmas tunes that charted in late 2006, this is his sixth straight No. 1 ... Paisley's jump to No. 1 is the biggest of his career and the best for any artist since this week's displaced No. 1, Taylor Swift's "Our Song," surged 6-1 on the Dec. 22 chart. • Also on Hot Country Songs, Jewel takes the Hot Shot Debut at No. 50 with "Stronger Woman," her second appearance on that chart. In 1999, she peaked at No. 56 as the duet partner of Merle Haggard, when the pair reprised his 1984 No. 1 "That's the Way Love Goes."

^ Billboard's wrong. Zazie's right. It's 10 #1's. Thanks for noticing. And are they really saying that Brad's 5-1 jump is the "best" since Taylor's 6-1 jump? It's also the only #1 song since Taylor's. So it's also the "worst" since Taylor's jump, and the "most average" since Taylor's jump, and the most meaningless bit of chart trivia I have ever seen.

Also, I believe Sports Illustrated said last week that this will be the first year that the U.S. has competed in the Summer Olympics since 2004.

I knew the answer to this question at one time, but what does it mean when it shows "breaker" before a song?

I knew the answer to this question at one time, but what does it mean when it shows "breaker" before a song? The song has reached a threshold of a certain percentage of the panel playing the song. Don't ask me what that is, though. The answer is in the 2006 #1s thread.

Unfortunately, Hit Predictor is still messed up this week. It looks like the problem is fixed now - they did a second update today. They switched #1 from Rascal Flatts to Brad and everything else looks in order.

Billboard: • New country singer Chuck Wicks checks in at No. 24 on the Billboard 200 with his debut album, "Starting Now." The set sold 20,000 last week and also bows at No. 7 on Top Country Albums. The album's lead single, "Stealing Cinderella," bullets at No. 13 on Hot Country Songs this week.
