They are figuring out how to explain the mistake on HBTB's numbers.

When you wake up on a Tuesday and your Hot 100 update isn't there. You check in later and it's still not there.

I wonder if it's a technical issue since the album chart is still not there either.. I don't get why they don't have it ready (if it's about HbtB which affects the Hot 100 only)

Per Billboard' twitter page, they will refresh the charts tomorrow instead of today.

Maybe Lana isn't the issue...with the very slight difference between the Weeknd and Omi, maybe they double-checked the numbers and "Cheerleader" didn't return to #1 after all?

If there's an issue, why would they release any news until they double / triple checked.

Billboard gets its sales data from SoundScan, right? So in situations like this, it's not an issue of Billboard "double-checking the numbers" - SoundScan fed them incorrect data. For all we know, the fault for this Lana debacle could even lie with Apple, not SoundScan.
Billboard's writers certainly make their share of typos, no doubt about that, but I think we're also a little too quick to point fingers at Billboard when they're not the ones actually collecting the raw data. They get the raw numbers from other sources, then plug them into their own formula for the charts.

They have humans though, that can look at data and say "that looks fishy, are you sure it's correct?" Sounds like that did not happen here.
What was the last chart correction that affected the top ten? The last I recall is Lady Gaga/Kesha swapping positions at #5/6 with Alejandro moving to #5 if I recall.

You also have to think about this: Billboard's staff probably don't monitor Kworb's site on a daily (or hourly) basis like some of us do, so they probably wouldn't have been able to tell if she had a huge lead or not. They already have enough number crunching to do with hundreds of other songs.

Tho I'm still thinking billboard has to be involved someway of double checking all the figures. We all were surprised at the #7 debut and felt something was wrong. Surely Billboard could have raised flags.

Was just going to say that Billboard staff may not monitor kworb for estimates or even keep iTunes rankings on its radar- but, it should.

Very sad for High By The Beach, as it's really amazing, but on the other hand happy that Good For You is back in the Top 10!
