Is the deluxe edition strictly an online thing, or can I find it at like Walmart or Target?

Much like Maddie and Tae's latest album, this far exceeded my expectations. This album is chock full of awesome songs that could work well at radio while at the same time, don't sound cliche or boring. It's hard to pick a favorite on here, the only track I don't love is "What Ya Got On Tonight", but there's a ton of awesome stuff on here! I'd break it down like this:
Love: Come and Get It Girl Of The Summer Magic That Was Us (my personal fav) Lipstick Complicated I'm to Blame That's Alright With Me Running For You Comeback Kid Backseat (deluxe) Burn The Whole World Down (deluxe)
Like: Wild Ones What Ya Got On Tonight Hearts Desire What I Do (deluxe)

I've only gotten to listen to about half of the CD so far, but it's funny you mentioned What Ya Got on Tonight, Zack, because I really like it. Based on the title I was like "oh God" but I actually really enjoyed it.
I'm buying a physical copy later today, so hopefully I'll be able to listen to the whole thing soon. :)

This is one of the best albums I've heard in a while. I love the rasp/emotion in his voice, I get a Springsteen/Mellencamp feel when listening to some of these songs.
Too bad that I'm To Blame was the first single. Only song I don't care for on the album.
Lipstick is my favorite on the whole thing, closely followed by That Was Us, Backseat, Running For You, Comeback Kid, Magic, and Girl of the Summer. They're all either amazing or really good besides the current single and maybe the title track.
I'm To Blame may not be doing so hot on the charts but he definitely has some sure fire hits on this album. (Girl of the summer, Lipstick, Running for you) I'd be SHOCKED if Running For You wasn't a single eventually, cause that has #1 written all over it.

Love 01 "Wild Ones" 02 "Come And Get It" 03 "Girl Of The Summer" 05 "That Was Us" 06 "Lipstick" 07 "What Ya Got On Tonight" 08 "Heart's Desire" 09 "Complicated" 11 "That's Alright With Me" 12 "Running For You" 13 "Comeback Kid" 15 "Backseat" 16 "Burn The Whole World Down"
Like 04 "Magic" 10 "I'm To Blame" 14 "What I Do"
No sophomore slump for Kip. Although Wild Ones doesn't quite reach the heights of Up All Night ("Drive Me Crazy", "Crazy One More Time", "Everything But You"), this album feels much more consistent and cohesive. The production is a little heavier than his last album, but it works well with Kip's voice and the themes of the songs. There's a clear Springsteen-y feel running through each track involving teenage memories, rebellious attitudes, and imperfect love. The early standout tracks for me are "Girl Of The Summer", "Comeback Kid", "Running For You", "That Was Us", and "Heart's Desire".
Kip Moore proves on Wild Ones that he's more than just a country singer; he's a damn country rock star. 4.5/5.0
Single Predictions 02 "Wild Ones" 03 "Girl Of The Summer" If 04 "Running For You"
I think he's only going to go three singles deep. Kip should have some lengthy chart runs, and he's expressed a desire to pump out his upcoming albums that he wrote already.

The title track is good but it's not great, and I'd hate for it to keep Running For You/Girl of the Summer off radio. I'd go with those 2 next and if they go 4 singles deep, go with Lipstick or Comeback Kid to close it out.

I thought "Up All Night" was a solid record but I think Kip just took it to a whole new level with "Wild Ones". Normally when a record is delayed the final product released is not very good. You have to give the man credit for continuing to write and tour and not give up during that 3 year wait.
I think this just shot to #1 on my albums of the year list. I hear an artist who is hungry and desperate. This isn't a country record. It's a heartland rock record in the vein of Springsteen and Mellencamp. It's loaded with hit singles because he didn't try to write the "hit", he just wrote what he was living. My early favorites are Lipstick, Running For You, Come and Get It and Comeback Kid. An amazing album from start to finish!

Holy smokes...what a great album. Like zjames, I don't know if it's quite as good as his debut is, mostly because Up All Night had the holy trifecta of "Drive Me Crazy", "Everything But You", and "Crazy One More Time", and I'm not sure if any of the songs on Wild Ones are quite as good as those 3 are. But dang, there are a LOT of really good songs here. Now time to quote phil1996: Too bad that I'm To Blame was the first single. Only song I don't care for on the album. This. This. This again. "I'm To Blame" is the only song I don't care for, and honestly, every song on this album is better than "Young Love" and "Dirt Road" as well (though I think both YL and DR would've both fit right in on this album, but I'm fine with them being left off). I'm glad that "I'm To Blame" got the album out, but I'm literally shocked that it was picked as the first single. The only thing I can think of is that, after "Young Love" and "Dirt Road" stalled, UMG wanted to play it as safe as possible, and therefore they decided that "super short song = safe = radio hit"? "I'm To Blame" clocks in at only 2:16 in length but from the first time I heard it, I never thought it'd be a big hit. I'm not surprised that it's only been able to scrape the top 20 and hasn't sold much--that's about what I expected it'd do. Anyway, the next shortest song is the super fun (definitely agree with carriekins here) "What Ya Got On Tonight", at 3:00 exactly. "Come And Get It", "Heart's Desire", and "Lipstick" were on the Spotify EP last year; CAGI is nearly 5 minutes in length but they could easily make a radio edit by cutting off a minute (maybe a bit more) and by taking out the guitar outro and shortening a couple other parts. "Heart's Desire" and "Lipstick" are both just over 4 minutes in length but I think both could be hits if they were released. My favorite song is definitely "Girl Of The Summer" though. Wow, what a great song. Very similar in theme to Keith Urban's "'Til Summer Comes Around" (my all-time favorite song). However, unlike "'Til Summer Comes Around", Kip's "Girl Of The Summer" is a rockin' uptempo, and yet it still gave me chills. Usually only a really powerful ballad can give me chills, but GOTS was able to as well. It's so good. "That Was Us" is another incredible song, but it's way too dark for radio. Kip Moore is such a great singer and writer. Listening to this album...it's just so awesome. Every song has a lot of details in its lyrics. There's no "let's hop in my truck and drive out on that dirt road under the moon" generic crap. And Brett James...such a great producer. He and Kip are a match made in heaven and I hope Kip never switches producers. Wild Ones is definitely more of a Springsteen rock & roll-flavored album than it is a country album (especially when you couple the production with Kip's raspy vocals), but the production is just perfect. I would say that Kip Moore is my favorite new artist of probably the last decade or so, just ahead of Charlie Worsham and a couple others. Now, let's see if I can rank the tracks... 01 "Girl Of The Summer" 02 "That Was Us" 03 "Come And Get It" 04 "Running For You" 05 "Heart's Desire" 06 "What Ya Got On Tonight" 07 "Complicated" 08 "Lipstick" 09 "That's Alright With Me" 10 "Magic" 11 "Wild Ones" 12 "Burn The Whole World Down" 13 "Comeback Kid" 14 "What I Do" 15 "Backseat" 16 "I'm To Blame" My predictions for the singles: 01 "I'm To Blame" ------------------------ 02 "Running For You" or "Complicated" 03 "Girl For The Summer" (this will be HUGE if they release it for summer 2016) 04 "Wild Ones", "Come And Get It", or "Lipstick" Honestly, they have a ton of choices. I like the title track well enough but I'm hoping that they go with other choices for the singles. All I know is that "Girl For The Summer" needs to be the 3rd single. "What Ya Got On Tonight" would make for a great single as well.

Well if we're gonna play the "rank the song" game then....
01. That Was Us 02. Comeback Kid 03. Magic (this seems to be the track that most people are "eh", I personally love it) 04. Lipstick 05. Girl Of The Summer 06. Come and Get It 07. Running For You 08. Complicated 09. I'm To Blame 10. Wild Ones 11. That's Alright With Me 12. Heart's Desire 13. What Ya Got On Tonight
Now for the question of comparing this to his debut... I think I like this better only because there's not a bad song here that interrupts the flow, whereas "Up All Night" had the unfortunate "Somethin' Bout A Truck" that just sounded so out of place. As a fan of Country and Rock, this fits right in my wheelhouse, granted I would've like a bit more stripped back offerings such as "Comeback Kid", or "Faith When I Fall" from UAN, but it's hard to complain with the result. I'm glad this album was finally able to be released. Between this, the new Carrie single and Maddie and Tae's album, the mainstream is getting better.

Wow, this album is pretty good. I've never been a huge fan of Kip's music but he has a clear sound that's unique to him and I respect that he has created his own brand of music and that's refreshing with mainstream artists.
My early favorites are "Lipstick", "That Was Us", "Girl Of The Summer", "Heart's Desire", "What Ya Got On Tonight" and "Running For You".
MCA clearly picked "I'm To Blame" for it's radio-friendly nature and short length, which was a problem with the first two songs that attempted to get this album out ("Young Love" was long in length and slow, while "Dirt Road" was just not radio-friendly at all and I'm still baffled why that was even considered as a single let alone released); not to say I would have picked "I'm To Blame" to be a single but that absolutely had to be their thinking. They have a plethora of great single options from Wild Ones though.

I've been trying to figure out a way to say this and you said it better than I could. This is a great album, easily one of my favorites this year in any genre. I have to ask though, as you said, it's not a country album it's a rock album, so why does he get a pass when so many others jump to the "that's not country!!!" conclusion with other artists? Is it because it's not pop leaning? Or doesn't fall under the all encompassing "bro-country" term? It's just something I've wondered for a while now. Here's a good interview with him on Rolling Stone Country today: Kip Moore on Failed Singles, 'Effing Auto-Tune' and New 'Wild Ones'He talks a bit about how "Dirt Road" failed to take off last year and how he's still puzzled about that. For the record, I'm apparently one of the few that likes "Dirt Road" (and "Young Love") eons more than "Somethin' About A Truck" and "Beer Money."

Is it because it's not pop leaning? Or doesn't fall under the all encompassing "bro-country" term? It's just something I've wondered for a while now. You make a fair point, and as someone who has made this argument several times, I will say that I thought about that as I listened to this. Country and Rock have always gone together better than Country and Pop IMO. Granted, this is way more of a rock album than a country album, but I still immensely enjoy it. For starters, this album shows someone being true to themselves rather than catering to trends, it's the same style that guys like Eric Church, and Brantley Gilbert are doing, but this album feels unique to Kip. It's also too that incorporating Pop sounds is the trend right now in Country music, and so naturally it doesn't feel authentic when someone like The Band Perry is releasing a full fledged Pop song when their style always worked best within the Southern Gothic/Rootsy sound they had, it feels like they are catering to a trend. Plus, I'd argue that the production on this album is solid as opposed to a lot of Pop/Country songs that are often ruined by a bad production, I'd also argue that lyrically, this is stronger than the majority of what Country radio is playing, making it simply good music no matter how you slice it. And plus, Kip isn't lying about who he is, whereas Sam Hunt will fight tooth and nail to defend how his songs really are "Country". Plus, none of what has been offered as a single from this album thus far has really pushed the envelope in terms of sound, where acts like Zac Brown Band, Sam Hunt and The Band Perry are releasing blatant Pop songs to radio (or in ZBB's case, they WILL have a Pop song on Country radio). There's plenty of radio options here that straddle the line between Country and Rock, like "Girl Of The Summer", which while it's rocking and upbeat, contains a story similar to that of Keith Urban's "Til Summer Comes Around" (as jhomes noted), as well as "What Ya Got On Tonight", which while lyrically lite, has a nice blend of a country and rock sound. It's not when artists incorporate other genres into their music, it's when they don't market them right that gets me mad. For example, I had no problem with the majority of Zac Brown Band's latest album. The Country songs were going to Country, the Rock songs were going to Rock....everything was grand. "Beautiful Drug" however, is a song that doesn't belong on Country radio. I personally consider it a tiny guilty pleasure, but I don't want to hear it on Country radio. Rock is a genre where traditions are broken while Country is a genre that honors traditions, and there's more to Country than having steel guitars and fiddles, it's about staying true to your gut and releasing songs that matter. So while this album may be more rock than country, it shows an artist who is refusing to be anyone but himself, and that right there is Country at its finest.

Personally, he gets a pass from me because its authentic. He's not chasing trends or trying to make a slick, commercial record. These days country radio is the only guitar driven format out there. That's why you see all these older rock stars transitioning into it. As long as its real and authentic I don't care if its traditional, bro country or guitar driven 70's/80's/90's rock.

Yeah, Kip has always said he was influenced by a lot of great rock artists as he was growing up, and his debut album showed a great mix of country and rock. This is more toward the "heartland rock" side of the spectrum than the country side, but it's so well-produced, well-sung, and well-written that I don't care that it doesn't have a lot of country instrumentation. I'll always be a country fan first and foremost (I LOVE fiddle and steel), but Kip has his own style and he's got it perfected already, and in my opinion this album is about as good as an artist can get without a lot of traditional country instrumentation.
There's no rapping, no auto-tune, no misogynistic views toward women, no trucks/beer/moonlight/hot girls stereotypes, and no over-produced bombastic pop music here...and I love it.

I'll rank em too. This took some real thought cause this is a masterpiece of an album.
1. Lipstick 2. Running For You 3. Backseat 4. Comeback Kid 5. Burn The Whole World Down 6. Magic 7. Girl Of The Summer 8. That Was Us 9. Come and Get It 10. Hearts Desire 11. What I Do 12. Complicated 13. That's Alright With Me 14. What Ya Got On Tonight 15. Wild Ones 16. I'm To Blame
#5 to #11 are all unbelievably close. I REALLY like #12-14, and the title track is rock solid too. What a deep album. From top to bottom I think it's better than his debut, which was also outstanding (Up All Night and Everything But You are amazing). Too bad "Hang a While" didn't make it from the soundcheck, cause I loved that one. Maybe it'll be on an album in the future. This guy is as talented as they come.
Kip & Eric Church are the Country Music Jesus' that the genre needs. Both won't give into auto tune, don't care what others have to say, and make different sounding/fresh music.

Much of what I want to say has already been said, but I agree with others saying this sounds a lot like Bruce Springsteen and even John Mellencamp a bit. I've never really gotten into Kip too much, but that's going to change now. I always loved "Beer Money" though, so I knew he had it in him. But why oh why did they release "I'm To Blame" as the lead single? It's not awful but nowhere near some of the best songs on the album. It's baffling, and whoever made that decision should lose their job (I'm joking of course, but c'mon...). Anyway, "Wild Ones", "Girl Of The Summer" and "Come And Get It" sound like huge stadium anthems. "Comeback Kid" and "Lipstick" are excellent as well. They're are plenty of options for the next singles. They need to let "I'm To Blame" die already and get one of these songs out ASAP. I give tons of credit to Kip for having the guts to avoid any pressure to make more mush, hodge podge radio filler songs. This is a great album, and Kip has definitely earned a fan here. I have no clue about singles predictions, but in a perfect world, I'd like to see "Wild Ones", "Girl For The Summer" and "Comeback Kid" all get their shot at radio.

Y'all, this makes me so happy. The reviews thus far have been nothing but extraordinary. For someone that has REALLY followed him and his career, I know personally what a constant everyday struggle Kip (and his team--usually just catering to Kip's unique and ever changing needs) faced to get this perfectly crafted to his perfection. And it's just that.. honestly a masterpiece and WELL worth the 3 year wait. Like y'all said, this may not be the most country sounding album recently put out there but then this day and age, what is? Kip without a doubt stays true to himself first and foremost before ANY thing else. He has slept, ate, breathed and thought nothing of the album for 3 years now and I'm so glad it's finally out for him to share with everyone. I know this post may sound more like a fan's perspective than a critic, but so be it. I basically agree with everything that has been said already and there is definitely some great conversation taking place here.
I absolutely have to agree about Young Love and Dirt Road. Maybe if Dirt Road would have been released before Young Love they would have been able to somewhat keep the momentum going. But the past is the past and I also agree with releasing I'm To Blame -- definitely the safest radio friendly song they could have chosen and they got the job done... they got the record out which was starting to become somewhat worrisome. Anyways, I will try to rate these the best that I can but it sure won't be easy!!
1 Girl Of The Summer 2 Running For You 3 Hearts Desire* 4 Lipstick* 5 Come And Get It* 6 Burn The Whole World Down 7 Wild Ones 8 Complicated 9 That Was Us 10 That's Alright With Me 11 What You Got On Tonight 12 What I Do 13 Backseat 14 Magic 15 Comeback Kid 16 I'm To Blame
It's really tough with Kip because his lyrics ACTUALLY MEAN SOMETHING. I feel like so any artists out there don't care what they put out there (lyrically) like Kip does. He's said time and time again that he is a songwriter above anything and it's apparent in those lyrics. I put stars next to a few of them because I literally cannot choose a specific order within them. Those were some of the songs that he started playing a couple years ago and I think they did a lot for him towards his growth, which I've seen so much of. Some of these songs are crazy important to me and I know it sounds crazy but I'm just so damn happy for him. I know how hard he's worked towards putting this album out and I know how estatic he is to finally share it. I know he's been in a bit of a slump lately, but I truly believe that this album is an absolute game changer for him and it's going to really put him back in the game. As y'all can see, one of the main things about Kip is that he completely stays true to himself and he does not care what anyone says. For someone that has been following him for 4 years, at this point, saying I'm proud of Kip and the guys is an absolute understatement. I think the lyrics speak for themselves, just call him the Comeback Kid.

Especially given I'm To Blame only scrapping the Top 20. Yet who gets #1 songs with albums that sell less. Let's see Canaan Smith, Michael Ray, Kelsea Ballerini and A Thousand Horses. I think this shows how loyal his fans are and how passionate they are.

Sure does!! Very loyal and very passionate Wanted to point something else out. Kip has written (cowritten but who cares) and produced EVERY. single. song on the album. That's saying a whole lot if you ask me. Also still sitting at #1 right now on the Country iTunes chart and #4 all-genre.

Yeah, considering that Kip hasn't had a single go higher than the top 15 in over two years ("Somethin' 'Bout A Truck" went #1 when Up All Night was about to come out), those numbers would be pretty solid.

Manufactured #1 pop songs will give you a good 2-3 years in this business. Someone like Kip Moore, who pours his heart and soul into everything he does, will be around much longer if he chooses to. Kip has essentially been out of the game for 2 years and he comes back almost selling as much as he did 3 years ago (which is no easy feat considering how much sales have dipped).

Really not a song on this album I dislike, very good throughout.

So I was driving my parents' car the other day and they have SiriusXM (which I never ever listen to because, well, I don't have it in my vehicle), and Storme Warren had Kip on and they aired a really cool live "super fan concert" for a small group of people. Kip talked a lot about the album and how difficult the last 3 years have been. It was one of the coolest things I've ever listened to because it was probably at least an hour and it was just Kip and his band playing live for The Highway gang and a small group of super fans. And you never get something so cool like that on a terrestrial radio station.
It was just really cool to hear Kip talk. I'd already read a lot of what he said in the interviews he's done over the last 1-2 weeks, but actually hearing him speak was just really cool.
Kip played several songs too. He led off with "That Was Us" (which sounded great live), then played "Magic", "Heart's Desire", "Come And Get It", "Running For You", and "What Ya Got On Tonight". "That Was Us" will almost certainly never be a single due to the chorus lyrics, but Kip and his band were so good that it practically sounded like the studio recording. I absolutely loved that he played that one and I'm glad that I can say I heard it on the radio at least once.
Storme also talked about how "That Was Us" reminded him of the SE Hinton books The Outsiders and That Was Then, This Is Now, which was really cool too because I immediately thought of those two books after hearing "That Was Us".

I got the album yesterday. Holy cow. I love it. It's got a more rock type edge to it than his debut, but it is brilliant. Like many have said here before me, it is perfect in vocal performance, lyrical content, and overall production. I don't know that I would call this a country album entirely, because there are so many references of music similar to that of Bon Jovi and current pop crossover. (The beginning of "Magic" gives me OneRepublic vibes...I can't exactly explain why). However, there are some country sounding tracks. I liked, "I'm To Blame," before the album came out. Now, after listening to everything in full (MANY times) it is my least favorite on the album. I will be honest, I was never a huge Kip fan. Maybe it's because radio overplayed, "Somethin' 'Bout A Truck" so many times, I know cringe when I hear it. I never really disliked him either (except for SBAT). Now, Wild Ones has me on board completely. There's a feeling I get from this album - a feeling of happiness that Kip delivers through the music. I haven't had this much fun listening to an album in awhile. Top three favorites: "Come And Get It," "Lipstick," and "Comeback Kid." (I'm sure they will change as I listen to the album more). I want Sirius in my car for these types of radio events that you don't here on terrestrial radio. I would have really enjoyed hearing Kip live on The Highway. I'm going to have to listen to "That Was Us" again. I loved SE Hinton's The Outsiders, so I will have to listen more closely to that one.

I rag on them a ton for their questionable programming decisions but those super fan concerts are awesome. Kip also had an opportunity to "take control of the wheel" on The Highway for a show this week where he played his personal favorite country, rock and pop songs.
