Okay, I don't like many male singers. If I do like something from them it is a track or two. Tim, Don Henley and Garth are probably the only exceptions to that rule. With that being said, I thoroughly enjoyed every song on this album. It's the first album I've purchase by a male artist since Man Against Machine came out, last year. (I've bought a few singles from the guys over the last year.) I've also bought like 80+ albums from women during that time. This album is exceptional.

After listening to this for about a week, I've found that "Magic", "Lipstick", "That Was Us", "Complicated", and "Comeback Kid" have been the standout tracks on this album, which is all very good. Only song I found myself skipping past was "Heart's Desire", not entirely sure why though.

Has anyone figured out if the deluxe version of this album is available in stores?

Has anyone figured out if the deluxe version of this album is available in stores? It's not. From Kip.. I got the deluxe version on Amazon :) Normally I like to buy physical albums, but in this case I knew I wasn't going to get to a store anytime soon and I wanted the album right away...plus Amazon had a great price for the deluxe version. Usually when I buy albums, I buy the physical version, then rip a copy to my laptop (and keep the hard copy in my truck), and then if there are deluxe tracks that I really want, I'll buy them as stand-alone tracks from Amazon or iTunes. But this time I just went to Amazon right away for all 16 tracks because again, I knew I wasn't going to get to a store anytime soon (no music stores in my hometown...nearest stores are 35 miles away, lol).

According to Billboard, this album officially sold 40,000 copies. That's good enough for a #2 debut on Country Albums and #4 on the overall 200 behind Dr. Dre (#3), Luke Bryan (#2) and the rock band Disturbed's first CD in five years (#1).

It did hit #1 though when it first came out..how long does it have to stay there to be classified as the "#1 country album?" Or is it? It should be!! lol, sorry. 40,000 copies in it's first week is nothing to snooze over either. That's more than they were expecting. I thought I heard 30,000-35,000 so this exceeds expectations.
I tried winning access into the superfan thing in Nashville a couple weeks ago but I did not, unfortunately. As far as "That Was Us," that song has been floating around for a good while (1-2 years at least) Obviously it's been tweaked a time or two, but Kip and the band have been playing it on and off for some time. Especially over the last couple months, for album reasons of course. So that's probably why it sounded so good!! They've had "Wild Ones," "Come and Get It" and "Backseat" in the set list forever too. We've heard bits and pieces of "Burn the Whole World Down" and previously have heard "What I Do," "Comeback Kid," "Lipstick" and "Heart's Desire" but never in full, recorded production. The only completely new ones are "Girl of the Summer," "Magic," "What Ya Got On Tonight", "Complicated," "That's Alright With Me (although I think he did play that one a couple times recently) and "Running For You."
I have 4 copies of this album already guys. What is wrong with me? lol I just can't get enough...

Preordered the autographed one from his site (was hoping it would be the Deluxe version..), then when he started doing the teasers on Twitter I bought the iTunes one so I could hear them as they became available, THEN the morning it came out I had to have a physical copy to blast in the car and then I came home and had one from a mysterious/non addressed envelope from a certain Nashville address 8D Soo yeah, now I have 4. It's okay, gotta help with album sales since no one buys them anymore. I gave one of the copies to my little sister lol I'm sure I'll end up with a good couple more by the time this settles.. I play them so much they're gonna start skipping in no time.. 13 hour trip back to Buffalo to visit my family and it didn't come out of the player one time..

It's funny, when I first heard this album, "Wild Ones" and "What Ya Got On Tonight" were two of my least favorites on there, and now they're probably two of my favorites on there
