Was KPVS monitored for the charts anyway?

WXQQ in Toledo is a new dance station but radio-locator.com is classifying it as Pop. I wonder why.
I guess I could say "WXQQ is not the same format as WVKS and WTWR".

www.100000watts.com/ "KPVS 95.9 Hilo HI/KLUA 93.9 Kailua-Kona HI flip from hot AC to dance as part of Big Island station shuffle"
Funny you should mention this. But if you type in the call letters KPVS or KLUA in their station search, they are listed as Rhythmic CHR. KHWI 92.7 which was a Rhythmic CHR in Hilo, from "Wild 92.7" to their new slogan "Hawaiian Rhythms 92.7." That station was owned by Big Island Radio, acquired by Pacific Radio, then sold to a smaller group. I'm assuming their format is Hawaiian music. (I can't hear FM signals from Hilo). KPVS/KLUA was also owned by Big Island Radio and sold to Pacific Radio, canned the Hot AC and took KHWI's Rhythmic CHR format. No Jersey Boy, none of those stations are monitored By R&R or Mediabase if that's what you're asking. I've made plans to head out this (Thursday 10/9) out to Koko Crater Stables to hear KLUA 93.9. Koko Crater Stables is about nine miles east from here. I'll post what songs I heard if you're interested.

Ok I didn't think so... are they counted for the Billboard Hot 100, as part of what they call "small market airplay"? Koko Crater Stables sounds like a fun place, judging by the name. But yeah it'd be cool to hear what songs you've heard!

"95-9 Hilo and 93-9 Kona. Hawaii's Real Hits-The Beat." It sounds like a CHR/Rhythmic or Urban station. I love it!

"The Beat" still doesn't have a website. They are owned by the Pacific Radio Group.Edit: "The Beat" still has no official website but here's their logo.

It's just another CHR/Rhythmic (hip-hop) station. 100000 watts is so full of crap, everytime a station flips to CHR/Rhythmic they call it "Dance".
