I still listen to radio, though usually satellite radio (i.e. no ads). I do occasionally listen to regular radio, too, though. Part of it is saving my iPhone battery life. Part of it just ease. Part of it is probably just habit, too.

There is also something to be said for not knowing what songs are coming up. There are songs I don't have on my phone/iPod that come up on radio and that I like when I hear them.

I listen to the radio all the time. On the way to school in the car, on the way home, and my parents usually have it on at home, especially in the morning getting ready for school. Ads here aren't that annoying, they're usually only a minute or two ever couple of songs, the thing that annoys me most is how outdated/repetitive it is. There are a bunch of stations in my area, but only two really relevant ones with mainstream music. They both have a similar playlist, but play older songs a lot more. They also focus a lot on a certain amount of new songs. For example, last summer, Rude, Happy, Am I Wrong and Problem were on A LOT. All the time. Right now, Marvin Gaye, Fight Song, What Do You Mean, Bad Blood (remix instrumental but with original Taylor vocals) and Can't Feel My Face are constantly being played. They also ignore the charts a lot, for example they still play Chandelier a decent amount (heard it three times yesterday, although I ain't complaining), but when Elastic Heart went to #4 earlier in the year here it was completely ignored. In the summer, See You Again, Lean On, Style, Cheerleader, Are You With Me and Shut Up + Dance were on all the time. They seem to have little variety with newer songs. The other night I was shocked to hear them play Good For You, Earned It and Dark Horse (first time hearing all of those songs), but I have yet to hear them since.

usually when I listen to the radio it's when I'm in someone else's car and they have the radio on, and for me it's usually the local AM talk radio or the local classic rock station

there's a few radio stations in my area though, and the two pop stations aren't bad

It's only ahead by 28k, according to Kworb's prediction, and Kworb usually isn't too far off with its predictions. Both songs are increasing at about the same rate in streaming and The Hills was ahead by a few million streams last week (despite behind behind on Spotify. Unless WDYM managed a big rebound in streaming it has practically no chance this week.

I predicted it to be #9 this week, with Hotline Bling entering right behind it at #10. IMO it (Stitches) has a good chance of entering the top 10. I could be wrong though.

They play it constantly on my local Kiss station. Gets really annoying how they have it in power rotation.
