Need Love with Usher is probably my favorite on first listen and it’s the last track!

This is definitely my least favorite album by her, but it's not bad. Just sounds like an album of songs that could be filler on stronger (recent) albums of hers. My favorite is "Failing In Love".

This is her shortest album ever, I don’t know if it’s a good thing but I miss those long songs

"Amazing" and "On Top" need to be burned with fire and some of the song lengths are ridiculous. But it's a cute, little grown/sexy vibe. Definitely mid-tier Mary. But the production is pretty solid throughout and it's an easy listen.

I knew I wasn't going to like this when she opened the album with hi-hats LMAO. Mary?
Good Morning Gorgeous grew on me, but otherwise, I didn't feel this at all. Anderson.Paak was wasted.
Come See About Me is maybe the only other track I'll revisit here.

No Idea Love Will Never Rent Money Amazing On Top GMG Failing In Love Enough
Another great album. Sounds like Mary J. Blige in 2022. Definitely showing the girls why she’s been able to maintain a 30 year music career and still hang with the current acts of the moment.

The production value is there but she sounds so uninspired, and dare I say, bored? I know it’s probably intentional but I don’t listen to MJB for “vibes”. I’m sure some people will enjoy it though.

Album is currently #2 on iTunes. #1 iTunes R&B
“Good Morning Gorgeous” is currently #47 on the main and #6 R&B.
And the Super Bowl hype has “Family Affair” still sitting in the top 10 on the main chart and #1 R&B.

No Idea Rent Money Come See About Me On Top Failing in Love Enough Running
These are my favorites after spinning the album a few times today. Far from her best work but the entire thing is a smooth listen so I feel I’ll end up revisiting it more than some of her other projects (like SWET). Also, it’s concise which plays to its strengths; I’ll take this over another bloated mess like ML2 any day.

Any reviews on the Target exclusives? I'm hesitating if I should drop by Target to grab a copy before the super bowl.

Not a fan of the album as a whole. I find there are about 5 keepers and of those there's only one track that I like like a lot, "Falling In Love". "Amazing" has grown on me some as well. This album reminds me of Toni's last, Spell My Name, in that they probably got sent a bunch of inoffensive filler tracks and put together an album. In Mary's case it makes more sense actually releasing an album with the Halftime Show and whatnot. So, from a business perspective, I get it releasing this right now. Stacked up against the rest of her catalog, though, even the most recent albums, this is just not it.

Fresh and current without sounding cheesy and forced and much better than the one before. I haven't listened to Mary's yet, but if it made you think of Toni then it'll be good.

No Idea Here with Me Rent Money Come See About Me Failing in Love Enough Need Love (Usher sounds AMAZING)
Production is tight and fresh, but there is some filler. I wish she'd have included "Only Love" as it fits the album's sound and it's still a BOP.
The title track isn't strong at all and they should've chosen another single to lead this album. Overall a GOOD listen!

This is easily her best album since Growing Pains (and I would argue it's better than Love & Life). Sure, the songs are short, but I think that's a strength, as nothing overstays its welcome. It reminds me of Caution by Mariah, in that I can just play it from start to finish and not want to skip anything. I agree that her vocals seems a little...subdued, but I don't mind the understated vocals/restraint when the production is this on-point. Also, the more uptempo jams are welcome in the context of the album. On Top goes a lot harder than Amazing so if they were gonna release anything uptempo on the album, it should have been that one instead, but I have no issues with Amazing either. It's probably one of my favorite things to which Khaled has added his name. On another note, is this Mary's most explicit album yet? It's kinda ironic to me, seeing how she is at such a place of peace. Here is my ranking, from best to least, but I like all of it.
Love Will Never (surprised that this is being left out of the conversation, when it's classic Mary) Rent Money No Idea Here With Me On Top Good Morning Gorgeous Come See About Me Amazing Running Need Love Failing In Love Enough Love Without The Heartbreak

She's currently at #1 on R&B iTunes charts, #2 overall, number 8 on Apple Music and charting on iTunes in over 50 countries and it's only gonna increase after the Superbowl performance. 30 years later and still relevant. I'm so proud of the Queen.

I am such a fan of this album. It puts me in such a good mood. My favorites keep changing but today it's Come See About Me. I really love Rent Money, Here With Me, and Good Morning Gorgeous, but Love Will Never is still that bitch for me. I do think the album is pretty front-loaded, ends with a bang with On Top and then kinda just settles down for the last 5 songs, but again, not a clunker in the bunch.

Keep: Enough -- Classic Mary joint! How is this not the lead?! Here With Me -- Single potential and a different sound from Mary that reminds me of "Could've Been" by H.E.R. Love Will Never -- The best vocal performance in this project. She sounds flawless like in Growing PainsLove Without the Heartbreak Falling in Love Okay: Running No Idea Amazing Rent Money Good Morning Gorgeous Skips: Need Love Come See About Me On Top That's about as generous as I can get with this album . The LWTH-FIL-Enough trilogy saves it for me. As a whole it's giving Think Like a Man Too.
