The issue isn't what occurred or where Mary's heart is; it's that that moment in isolation from the rest of the interview looks completely random and awkward to anyone seeing it out of context (which is most people). That's why it's already a meme. It's Definitely what occurred. Have you read some of those mean comments?! She's a coon, she's telling people how to act when the police stops us, One article even said "we've lost her".. calling her a sellout! It's definitely what occurred". Without proper knowledge. So yet again, you're wrong! I highly suggest avoiding the YouTube comments section for the sake of your emotional well-being.

So yet again, you're wrong! Look daaahling. Mary's heart and soul is always in the right place. However, lets call it what it is, she is very extra (on and off stage). The clip that was floating around with her singing to our next President, was embarrasing for me, as a black person lol . However nobody but internet trolls are calling her a sell out. It was just a harmless lets laugh at Mary's crazy ass again, like her singing for dat crispy chicken leg. You are personalizing this way too much and getting upset over nothing. Mary could have just you know, spoken to our next president in words than look her in the eyes and sing out of the blue. We love Mary, for most of us this ain't that deep. Youtube comments are trash, dont read them like stated above.

The comments were more than just on YouTube... The story got picked up by several blogs and major news sites where they all dragged Mary just based off the clip. It was beyond just internet trolling.
Anyhoo....the full first [visual] episode of The 411 is out now...and of course no one will talk about it. The full interview was actually really good!!! It was a blatant attempt to "humanize" HRC, and what better way to do that then with Mary's emotional ass? The questions weren't too deep, or even very political for that matter. It is a good look for Mary. It's great to see how far she has come. Sucks that the horrible editing of the promo may have overshadowed the quality of the interview.

Even if it is good, whoever thought it was a bright idea to put that "scene/shot" as the promo video needs to be fired. Most should know by now how easily others can be turned off by the most silliest thing. I know Mary's intention was to bring a quality interview; however, that portion was not right direction for her. Once again, her management team fails her in providing substance as a promo than laughter for others.

I agree if you want to be taken serious as a host/interviewer when speaking to a presidential candidate then the promo should reflect that. Unless it was used to create hype so more ppl tuned in to watch what looked like a train wreck.

Oh yes, Mary. She better bring it with "Thick of It". Those background vocals and the production are everything. My head was bopping within seconds, hell the video has stopped and I'm still bopping to it. Oh yes, Mary. I need and want right now. Oh yes.

TOI sounds great....the studio version would be even better. It was genius of her to mix Justin-Bieber sound with her own signature vocals.

Yes and now that you have been informed please note for future references. Child, slow your roll. Please do. Nobody got time for idiotic influence that an artist does not have. But ok.

That's like saying those whistle notes in the background is another artist mixing with Ariana Grande sounds. Its absurd to have your references be that shortsighted, and then be rude about it

Artist?? WTF are you even talking about?? I made a comment and then i moved on. You are the one who felt the need to be salty. People here have a stick up their butt and feel the need to comment on everything. Next time if you read a comment (especially mine) and it is beneath your pseudo-intellect please try to move on instead of commenting.

Anyways. I just saw her interview with Hillary and she did a pretty good job. It is an actual feat for her. Its a shame people felt the need to bring her down based on a poorly cut promo.

Anyway... "Thick of It" sounds like something Jazmine would have written. That second verse of is lethal! "If I make it through hell, and come out alive I've got nothing to fear." Whew!

Just watched it last night and it's really great. That musical moment has much more impact in the context of the interview rather than a stand-alone clip.

Lol, that's such a Mary cover. I'm excited, I've been revisiting her catalog recently. Stronger than I remembered.

Lol, that's such a Mary cover. I'm excited, I've been revisiting her catalog recently. Stronger than I remembered. Me too. I had a bad day on Tuesday, so revisiting "No More Drama" (re-release) was such a treat. Started on "Growing Pains" later that day, but had to put it on pause while I prepare for a different artist's concert on Friday.
