This song has been massive already and it's only week 4. I see this shattering the spin record and the AI record potentially. Hoping this has Uptown Funk like longevity and can shatter Mariahs record

^ And the best part is, I don't think there is a single official mix floating around, they're ALL bootlegs.

This is looking good for #1 next week. What an incredible rise it's had on pop radio.

We should find out tomorrow if it is still #1 on the Hot 100! There's no reason it wouldn't be.

This article already confirms its second week at #1 on the Hot 100 though? Or have I completely lost track of time? Oh nvm I think I have lol.

She's got #1 locked up. #2 on airplay, #1 on downloads, #1 on streams. Plus she's only about 8-9 million AI away from #1 on airplay.

Yeah "Hello" won't be going anywhere. Most artists nowadays would be lucky to have Adele's third week numbers in their debut week.

Is there a way she isn't #1 on the Hot 100 until after the slowdown in January?

^I would say the only way she's not #1 is if she either replaces herself with another song off the album or something comes out of nowhere.

Demi's cover is going viral. The second time a Demi Lovato cover has done so. (The other one was "Take Me to Church.")

Damn that debi girl can hit some notes. Nice cover. But that hilighted what makes adele so special. Its not about hitting the highest notes, but it's all about emoting and how adele makes u feel and moves u with her voice and singing. That cover has absolutely none of that, although she technically she hit every notes and more.
watching how hello destroys the charts have been amazing, it's really adele's first proper single release after she became a WW mega star, and it shows!!

Yea, I saw that Demi cover-- sure, she technically sounds pretty great, but the emotion feels forced to me. Adele gives it such natural emotion, like singing it just flows out of her pores-- that's what happens when you are a true singer-songwriter, it just doesn't sound right coming out of someone else.
Anyway, literally canceling plans so I can stay home and listen to the album.

Idk about all of that. But, yes. A technically sound cover from Demi. However, it was lacking on the emotive front (which I find interesting since Demi emotes very well with her own material).

I agree that it was a competent cover of Hello, but Adele will always slay it. Always.

A couple of random thoughts: - good that the year end chart ends earlier than usual (mid November), so that a lot of points will count for the 2016 year end chart. I wonder how much further she could've been in the 2015 annual chart if she had had another week to count... - great to see some Rock support! How about the label promoting some additional versions for different markets? Duets with country, r&b, rock, Latino artists? First part of the song can lend to the first two genres and the last minute to a rocker version. Would love to see that ;)

"Rolling In The Deep" will likely snatch that wig once the 25 era is over and send the song well on its way to 10 million downloads. :'(
