www.billboard.com/articles/columns/chart-beat/6746208/kidz-bop-44th-hit-album-adele-21-chart-movesBillboard 200 Chart Moves: Kidz Bop's 44th Hit Album, Adele's '21' RisesBy Keith Caulfield | October 30, 2015 Now, let’s take a closer look at some of the action on the Nov. 7 chart: — Kidz Bop Kids, Kidz Bop 30 - No. 12 — The Kidz Bop Kids’ latest child-friendly covers set, Kidz Bop 30, starts at No. 12 on the Billboard 200 chart with 28,000 equivalent units earned in the week ending Oct. 22, according to Nielsen Music. It’s the 44th chart entry for the Kidz Bop Kids, but the first numbered Kidz Bop album to debut outside the top since 2010’s Kidz Bop 17 also launched at No. 12. Over on the Kid Albums chart, the new set starts at No. 1, marking the 32nd leader for Razor & Tie’s long-running series. Remarkably, since the series launched in 2001 (with the first title bowing on the Oct. 27, 2011 chart), Kidz Bop titles have been No. 1 on the Kid Albums chart for 289 weeks. In total, the Kidz Bop franchise has sold 15.9 million albums in the U.S. — Original Broadway Cast Recording, Hamilton: An American Musical - No. 21 — After the album’s CD was released widely on Oct. 16 (following its mostly digital bow on Sept. 25), it earns a 118 percent unit gain (to 18,000 units) and a 179 percent sales lift (to 15,000 copies sold). It zooms 45-21 on the chart. Hamilton has sold 55,000 in four weeks, and is already the second-largest selling cast album of 2015. It will likely overtake the year’s current best seller, the original Broadway cast album of Wicked (58,000) in the next week. — Sam Hunt, Montevallo - No. 16 — The country star’s debut full-length album celebrates a year on the chart, as it dips 17-16 in its 52nd week on the tally. It has never left the top 50 of the list, and has been among the week’s top 25 albums consistently since the Jan. 24-dated chart. The album has now sold 800,000 copies. — OMI, Me 4 U - No. 51 — The “Cheerleader” singer’s album arrives with nearly 9,000 in equivalent album units, powered largely by TEA and SEA. Of its first-week, 3,000 units were comprised of pure album sales. — Adele, 21 - No. 79 — Excitement generated by the release of Adele’s new single “Hello” helps draw attention to her previous album, 21, which vaults 114-79 on the latest Billboard 200 — its highest rank in more than a year. The set last ranked higher on the May 24, 2014-dated chart, when it was No. 69. 21 also returns to the top 100 for the first time since May 30, marking its 191st week within the region. Since Nielsen Music began powering the list’s ranking on May 25, 1991, only one album has spent more time in the top 100: Metallica’s self-titled set, with 232 weeks.
