Hi :) Zedd has been one of my favorite EDM artists, and honestly, the album True Colors was the reason why i'm so into Electronic music! Also, I wanted too write reviews for some other artists I like such as One Republic, Shawn Mendes, Jason Deurlo etc, some feedback would be nice :) I will be posting two parts of this, tracks 1-5 will be in one post, and 6-11 will be in another just so it saves me time. Anyways, heres my review!
Track 1: Addicted Too A Memory ft. Barhari,
Addicted Too A Memory was released as a promotional single, and when I heard the first part it grabbed my attention. Upon further listening, I found it a little slow, however Barhari's vocals and that last beat drop completely made up for it. Great way too open up an album.
On a scale from 1 to 10, this gets 7.5/10.
Track 2: Beautiful Now ft. Jon Bellion
Anyone who's looked at my personal chart would know how much I love this song. This is by far the best song off of his album. Everything about the song is amazing, the 3 beat drops, Bellions vocals and the music video is probably my favourite so far this year. This only spent 1 week at #1 on my chart, but it's definitely gonna top 20 weeks, and im proud it's gonna be the first song too do that
On a scale from 1 to 10, this gets 10/10
Track 3: I Want You Too Know ft. Selena Gomez
I don't get it why people didn't like this song. It's a perfect dance pop track with lyrics that fit Selena 100%. I can't lie though, it got a bit repetitive at some parts but besdies that everything about this song is great.
On a scale from 1 to 10, this gets 8.5/10
Track 4: Transmissions ft. X Ambassadors, Logic
I love hearing rap with an EDM beat, and Logic really perfected his small part of the song. X Ambassadors's part was honestly not my favourite but Zedd's beat was stuck in my head for a good week, this would be a 10/10 if he replaced X Ambassadors with another rapper or someone else (I like Renegades and Wicked Ways, not trying too hate on them)
On a scale from 1 to 10, this gets 8/10
Track 5: Done With Love ft. Jacob Luttrell(uncredited vocals)
When this first came out, I was not a fan, however this slowly grew on me and eventually it became one of my favoruties! I don't care for the vocals but holy sh*t the drops in this are amazing. It hasn't burned on me yet so that's a good thing.
On a scale from 1 to 10, this gets 7/10
Thanks for reading my review! ii'l post songs 6-11 some other time this week!
