"Hell Nos and Headphones" should be the follow-up to "Love Myself" instead. Much more mature sounding. When your first single is about rubbing one out, I doubt they care much about her coming off as mature.

It's literally a motivational song. Not a masturbation song.Come on now ...but it is about masturbation It's not even a discussion, the song is about masturbation. Sure, there's some fun wordplay and double entendres, but there is no mistaking "I know how to scream my own name..."

If it actually is,I'm surprised they would let someone under 18 sing it considering people are hypocritical about IRL songs XD.Nice try guys.....

The framing is somewhat similar to the Miley vs. Molly thing in "We Can't Stop."
If you *need* it to be a self-empowerment anthem (ie, you're young, you're a Radio Disney programmer, you're a Billboard editor) just like some people *needed* it to be "Dancing With Miley," you can treat the song as such.
If you're really paying attention, it's obviously about masturbation just as the line was obviously "Dancing With Molly."

"when I get chills at night, i feel it deep inside without you" "I'm gonna touch the pain away" wearing a shirt that says "self service" in the video. it's not subtle in the least. The song is explicitly about masturbation.

Despite it's still listed on AllAccess with the February 9 as the impact date, Republic Playbook removed it from the site. Looks like it's not going to happen~

Good, the other two songs are much better than this. If Love Myself couldn't get top 10 on CHR, this wouldn't

I'm still not sold on her as a pop star regardless, but if she wants to try, she needs better material than the tracks on Haiz that aren't "Love Myself", because they were weak. This wouldn't have a stood a chance on radio either.

I think Rock Bottom is infinitely better than Love Myself (I'm really surprised this song seems to have an online following), but I agree with the general sentiment. The songs aren't terrible, but they're too generic and not a great fit for her singing style (her YouTube videos and covers suggest she's better as a tender/stripped ballad singer) or personality (I don't really buy her singing these songs).

While I don't agree about "Rock Bottom" being better than "Love Myself," I do think it's better than "You're Such A" and "Hell Nos and Headphones" by a wide margin.
