www.billboard.com/articles/columns/chart-beat/6762538/chris-stapleton-tops-billboard-200-second-weekChris Stapleton Spends Second Week at No. 1 on Billboard 200 Albums ChartBy Keith Caulfield | November 15, 2015 4:42 PM EST Chris Stapleton secures a second week at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart, as his Traveller effort continues to bask in the glow of the Country Music Association (CMA) Awards. The set shifted another 124,000 equivalent album units in the week ending Nov. 12 (down 30 percent), according to Nielsen Music. It sold another 97,000 in pure album sales (down 37 percent). The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week based on multi-metric consumption, which includes traditional album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA). The new Nov. 28-dated chart (where Stapleton is No. 1) will be posted in full to Billboard’s Web sites on Tuesday, Nov. 17. A week ago, Traveller made history as the first album to reenter the chart at No. 1, as the set jumped back onto the tally after Stapleton’s three CMA Award wins on Nov. 4. With a second week at No. 1, Traveller is one of only two albums to spend more than a week atop the list in 2015. Earlier in the year, Luke Bryan’s Kill the Lights ruled for its first two frames. The top two titles on the new Billboard 200 continue to fly the country flag, as Eric Church’s Mr. Misunderstood climbs a spot to No. 2 in its second chart week ( 65,000 units — down 14 percent; 58,000 in pure album sales — down 18 percent). The chart’s highest new entry is Ellie Goulding’s Delirium, which debuts at No. 3 ( 61,000 units; 42,000 in pure album sales), giving the singer/songwriter her highest charting album yet. It surpasses the No. 9 debut and peak of her last studio effort, Halcyon, in 2012. Goulding also charted with her debut set, Lights (No. 21 in 2012) and an iTunes Session EP (No. 190 in 2013). Goulding’s new album also marks the highest debut ever for the Cherrytree Records label (the album was released on Cherrytree through Interscope Records). It’s also the highest charting set for Cherrytree since 2010, when Lady Gaga’s The Fame spent three weeks in the top three (peaking at No. 2 on Jan. 16, 2010). Delirium was led by the single “On My Mind.” It’s Goulding’s fifth top 20-charting track on the Billboard Hot 100, having reached No. 18 so far. The new album also contains her contribution to the Fifty Shades of Grey soundtrack, “Love Me Like You Do,” which climbed to No. 3 earlier in 2015. Another artist who was also on the Fifty Shades of Grey soundtrack, The Weeknd, rises one rung on the new Billboard 200 to No. 4 with his former No. 1 album Beauty Behind the Madness ( 46,000 units). Country superstar Tim McGraw bows at No. 5 with Damn Country Music ( 43,000 units; 39,000 in pure album sales). It’s McGraw’s 17th top 10 album. His last studio set, 2014’s Sundown Heaven Town, debuted and peaked at No. 3 with 71,000 sold in its first week. The Beatles’ successful greatest hits package 1 returns to the list, reentering at No. 6 with 40,000 units (up 1,528 percent) and with 39,000 sold (up 2,623 percent). The former No. 1 (which spent eight nonconsecutive weeks atop the list in 2000 and 2001) bounds back onto the chart following its reissue on Nov. 6. It was rereleased in a variety of new formats, including sets that boasted music videos for each of the album’s 27 songs. The Now 56 compilation slips 4-7 in its second week with 38,000 units (down 34 percent), Fetty Wap’s self-titled debut dips 6-8 with 37,000 (down 7 percent) and Carrie Underwood’s Storyteller falls 2-9 in its third week with 33,000 (down 59 percent). Closing out the top 10 is Sara Bareilles’ What’s Inside: Songs From Waitress, which starts at No. 10 with 30,000 units (27,000 from pure album sales). It’s the fifth top 10 effort for the singer/songwriter, who last hit the top 10 in 2013 with The Blessed Unrest (debuting and peaking at No. 2). The new album features songs written for the stage musical Waitress, which will open on Broadway on April 24, 2016. (Bareilles wrote the show’s music and lyrics.)

The Weeknd's "Beauty Behind the Madness" (which BB mentions in the article) spent three consecutive weeks at the top of the BB200 (chart weeks Sept 19-Oct 3rd). Did BB just forget about that or did they forget the adjective "Country"? Or do they mean 2 and only 2?

The Weeknd's "Beauty Behind the Madness" (which BB mentions in the article) spent three consecutive weeks at the top of the BB200 (chart weeks Sept 19-Oct 3rd). Did BB just forget about that or did they forget to leave out the adjective "Country"? Or do they mean 2 and only 2? Yeah, pretty sure they left out the "country" qualifier. Kendrick Lamar and Meek Mill's albums also spent two and only two weeks at the summit, although that second week for Mill was the special case.

Areyouready- just a note. I'd go with "Most Top 10 Albums," especially since the list starts from 1956 (there wasn't a 200-position albums chart until 1967- and the BB200 name didn't exist until 1992). I'm not sure if any other act that has scored top 10s in the range of the list charted top 10 on Album Sales and not BB 200, since December, other than Elvis Presley's two this year (which gave hm 29 top 10 album sellers).
EDIT: As an update to the above post, the following acts have scored top 10 titles on the Album Sales chart since December 2014, so for those interested in tracking stats for rankings based purely on album sales information, these would be their totals:
Elvis Presley: 29 Rod Stewart: 18 Toby Keith: 15 Bon Jovi: 13

Pretty awful performance for Tim McGraw, but I dont know what people expect when they're popping out albums every year. You need to create demand if you want people to buy your new product.

Happy that Ellie got top 3. Even though I wanted her to be #1, she still had a great result.

roughstock.com/news/2015/11/39350-country-albums-chart-report-november-17-2015Country Albums Chart Report: November 17, 2015Posted By Matt Bjorke on Tuesday November 17, 2015 at 09:35AM PST For the second week in a row, country music has the best-selling album in the nation. Chris Stapleton's magical post-CMA Awards run continues with Traveller selling another 97,000 total copies and over 122k track equivelant albums to land the #1 slot on both the Country Albums chart and Billboard's Hot 200 Albums chart for a second week. The album has sold nearly 347k copies with all but 98k of those happening in the past two weeks. At #2 is Eric Church's Mr Misunderstood album. He's scanned over 129k of the surprise album in two weeks (and he gave the album away to many of the star's core fans for free). Tim McGraw debuts with Dam Country Music at #3 with sales of 39k plus in the first week. Carrie Underwood's Storyteller sits at #4 with 265k scanned in three weeks. Old Dominion debut with 20.5k copies of Meat And Candy scanned this week to hold down the 5th best-selling country album in all of the USA. Top Ten Recap Sitting at #6 is Luke Bryan's Kill The Lights with 691k scanned to date. Sam Hunt has the #7 album again this week with his ever so popular Montevallo album. At #8 is Blake Shelton's three week old Reloaded: 20 #1 Hits collection. Josh Abbott Band's Front Row Seat debuts at #9 with nearly 13k scanned while Thomas Rhett's Tangled Up sits at #10 with 151k scanned to date. Notables Cole Swindell, Hunter Hayes and Alan Jackson all debut with new projects as does Maren Morris and the Redneck Souljers this week. Swindell had the #11th best-selling project with his second Down Home Sessions EP. Hayes had the #16 project with The 21 Project. Meanwhile notable albums on this list include Carrie Underwood's Greatest Hits: Decade #1 dual disc project. It has sold 409k to date making it just under 100k scanned from Platinum (double discs multiply Gold to Platinum). Joey + Rory's Country Classics has now sold over 15k to date and may very well be the final country music album from the husband and wife duo as Joey is battling terminal cancer (they will have a Gospel project she recorded while getting treatment out in the future). roughstock.com/news/2015/11/39347-top-10-country-albums-chart-november-16-2015CNTRY Artist Album Week Total Scans 1 Chris Stapleton Traveller 97,000 346,600 2 Eric Church Mr. Misunderstood 58,300 129,200 NEW Tim McGraw Damn Country Music 39,300 39,300 4 Carrie Underwood Storyteller 27,400 264,700 NEW Old Dominion Meat And Candy 20,500 20,500 6 Luke Bryan Kill The Lights 13,800 705,900 7 Sam Hunt Montevallo 13,600 837,100 8 Blake Shelton Reloaded: 20 #1 Hits 13,200 64,000 NEW Josh Abbott Band Front Row Seat 12,800 12,800 10 Thomas Rhett Tangled Up 12,000 151,000 11 Cole Swindell Down Home Sessions 10,300 10,300 12 Little Big Town Pain Killer 8,700 381,200 13 Chris Janson Buy Me A Boat 8,000 26,600 14 Don Henley Cass County 7,200 171,900 15 George Strait Cold Beer Conversation 6,700 165,600 NEW Hunter Hayes 21 Project 5,300 5,300 NEW Alan Jackson Genuine: The A/J Story. 3,400 3,400 -- Alabama Southern Drawl 3,100 50,000 -- Brett Eldredge Illinois 2,700 80,100 -- Kelsea Ballerini The First Time 2,500 74,900 NEW Maren Morris Maren Morris EP 2,400 2,400 -- Carrie Underwood Greatest Hits: Decade #1 2,400 409,100 -- Jana Kramer Thirty-One 2,400 31,300 -- Miranda Lambert Platinum 2,300 759,300 -- Brantley Gilbert Just As I Am 2,300 927,500 -- Maddie & Tae Start Here 2,200 56,900 -- Kacey Musgraves Pageant Material 2,100 141,300 NEW Redneck Souljers Firewater 1,500 1,500 -- Jason Isbell Something More Than Free 1,300 106,800 -- Chase Rice Ignite The Night 1,200 304,100 -- Tyler Farr Suffer In Peace 900 100,500 -- Reba McEntire Love Somebody 800 176,200 Joey + Rory Country Classics 800 16,100

www.metalinsider.net/columns/metal-by-numbers/metal-by-numbers-1118-the-charts-bleed-records Metal By Numbers 11/18: The charts bleed recordsPosted by Matt Brown on November 18, 2015 Metal By Numbers is a weekly column in which we look at the top metal sellers and debuts of the week. Here we begin to see the list of debuts shortening as the end of the year closes in. That said, they still aren’t lacking in substance (something especially evident looking at the list of recent releases). A handful of records that spent a few weeks on the charts have dropped off as well, but more are likely to come and fill any gaps left behind. Also, we’re starting to see Christmas music pop up on the charts. In the metal scene that means Trans-Siberian Orchestra is just around the corner… Notable Debuts:Devil You Know, They Bleed Red (Nuclear Blast) #65, 4,725 sold The band’s sophomore effort doesn’t out-chart their debut, but it’s still a solid first week. Mestis, Polysemy (Sumerian) 1,075 sold This is a side project of Javier Reyes of Animals As Leaders Notable Sales:Def Leppard, Def Leppard (Mailboat) #30, 8,775 sold This has a good second week despite dropping 71%. Five Finger Death Punch, Got Your Six (Prospect Park) #50, 6,350 sold Ten weeks on and this sold just under 225,000 copies. Shinedown, Threat To Survival (Atlantic) #63, 4,950 sold A 6% drop is easy to survive. Disturbed, Immortalized (Reprise) #83, 3,625 sold A tiny 1% boost. Puscifer, Money Shot (Puscifer Entertainment) #87, 3,500 sold This got shot down by 77% in week two. Iron Maiden, The Book of Souls (BMG) #91, 3,350 sold In week ten, this gains a big 53% boost with just under 130,000 sold. Breaking Benjamin, Dark Before Dawn (Hollywood) 3,000 sold A tiny boost of 2%. Coheed and Cambria, The Color Before The Sun (300 Entertainment) #102, 2,950 sold A 31% drop with over 45,000 sold. Bring Me The Horizon, That’s The Spirit (Columbia) #108, 2,600 sold A small 2% drop in spirit. Slayer, Repentless (Nuclear Blast) #164, 1,725 sold A slight 4% boost. Escape The Fate, Hate Me (Eleven Seven) #169, 1,675 sold Can’t escape a second week drop of 80%. Ghost, Meliora (Loma Vista) #180, 1,550 sold This takes 33% drop. Sorry, Papa. Clutch, Psychic Warfare (Weathermaker) #181, 1,550 sold Who could have predicted a 14% drop?

www.yahoo.com/music/s/billboard-200-chart-moves-chris-stapleton-already-2015s-213819180.htmlBillboard 200 Chart Moves: Chris Stapleton Already Has 2015's Fourth-Biggest-Selling Country AlbumNovember 20, 2015 On the most recent Billboard 200 chart (dated Nov. 28), Chris Stapleton’s Traveller held at No. 1 for a second week, continuing to bask in the glow of the CMA Awards. Elsewhere on the chart, Ellie Goulding’s Delirium was the list’s highest new entry (coming in at No. 3), while Tim McGraw’s Damn Country Music bowed at No. 5, The Beatles 1 re-entered at No. 6, and Sara Bareilles’ What’s Inside: Songs From Waitress started at No. 10. The Billboard 200 chart ranks the week’s most popular albums based on their overall consumption. That overall unit figure combines pure album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA). Meanwhile, this week's charts (dated Nov. 28) mark the close of the 2015 chart year; next week's tallies (dated Dec. 5) begin the 2016 chart year. Look for the reveal of Billboard's 2015 year-end charts Wednesday, Dec. 9, on Billboard.com. Now, let’s take a closer look at some of the action on the Nov. 28 chart: — Chris Stapleton, Traveller - No. 1 — Since Chris Stapleton’s big night on the CMA Awards (Nov. 4), the singer/songwriter’s Traveller album has surged in sales and become the fourth-biggest-selling country album of 2015. The set, which won the CMA Award for album of the year, has now sold 347,000 copies through Nov. 12. Ahead of it on the year-to-date country album sales tally is Zac Brown Band’s Jekyll + Hyde (564,000), Sam Hunt’s Montevallo (625,000) and Luke Bryan’s Kill the Lights (705,000). A week earlier, Traveller was the No. 9 seller (250,000 sold), and then a week before that (the frame ending Oct. 29 — pre-CMAs), it was way down at No. 39 (96,000 sold). — Little Mix, Get Weird - No. 13 — The British pop girl group scores its third top 20 album on the Billboard 200 in as many years, as Get Weird arrives at No. 13 with 28,000 equivalent album units earned in the week ending Nov. 12 (according to Nielsen Music). Also impressively, with a No. 8 debut on the Top Album Sales chart (22,000 sold), the act becomes the first British girl group to earn three top 10 albums on the chart. Get Weird follows the quartet’s two earlier albums, 2014’s Salute (No. 6 on both the Billboard 200 and Top Album Sales) and their 2013 debut album DNA (No. 4 on both lists). The new album’s first single, “Black Magic,” debuted and peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard + Twitter Top Tracks chart, and became their second hit on the Billboard Hot 100 (reaching No. 67). — Sam Smith, In the Lonely Hour - No. 11 — Following the reissue of Smith’s album on Nov. 6, the set surges back up the Billboard 200 with 141 percent unit gain (rising 43-11; 29,000 units). The album was reintroduced with bonus tracks in a deluxe version dubbed the Drowning Shadows Edition. The new version’s total units and sales were merged with the original album for sales tracking and charting purposes. In the week ending Nov. 12, the combined sales of both albums jumped to 17,000 (up 264 percent). (Notably, neither version of the album features Smith’s new song “Writing’s On the Wall,” which was recorded for the new James Bond film Spectre. That song is housed on the Spectre soundtrack, which debuts at No. 120 with 5,000 units earned for the week.) — Pentatonix, That’s Christmas to Me - No. 19 — It’s the most wonderful time of the year, as the Billboard 200 chart begins to welcome the annual onslaught of Christmas albums to the tally. Leading the charge is Pentatonix’s 2014 release, That’s Christmas to Me, which vaults 40-19 with 23,000 equivalent album units earned in the week ending Nov. 12 (up 80 percent). (The set was reissued on Oct. 30 with five bonus tracks, which aids its rise.) It’s one of 20 Christmas titles on the tally this issue — a number that will likely increase in the march towards the Dec. 25 holiday. — Seal, 7 - No. 45 — Seal returns with his 10th charting album, as 7 bows at No. 45 (11,000 equivalent units earned). He’s visited the top 10 twice: With 2003’s Seal IV (No. 3) and the 2012 covers set Soul 2 (No. 8). — Michael Buble, Christmas - No. 55 — Michael Buble’s former No. 1 album Christmas earns the list’s largest percentage gain (172-55 with 9,000 units; up 139 percent) for the week. Buble’s set was released in 2011 and is his second-biggest selling album, with 3.75 million sold. (It’s only 83,000 copies away from eclipsing his best-seller, It’s Time — with 3.83 million.)
