they also mentioned on Periscope that the year end charts will come out next Wednesday, so that'll be very interesting.

If Uptown Funk is really still on the chart, I have a feeling that they are cutting it major slack and letting it stay when it shouldn't be in the top 25.

It looks as though Bieber will probably match or surpass adele's current audience (I think she'd probably go down 10-15M) in 3 weeks prior to the xmas freeze. His team better do some sort of promo or discount on the song because that would be ideal time to snatch #1 from her.

Last week it rebounded 29-19 on Streaming Songs, mostly due to that viral video of the song set to old movies. That video probably crossed into this past week, too, then. It may have helped downloads a bit, too? It better fall off in the next week or two, or else then year-end countdowns will cause it to rebound yet again. Lol!

How does a year-end countdown count towards a song's points for the certain week? It would help the airplay of "UF." We see it every year where songs that are on year-end countdowns make a little rebound. This year we won't see it as much because of the new rule.

I wonder what the pre-CMA deduction number was for Hello. Still seems like a stupid rule, especially how they let it count towards the Hot 100 and not Digital Songs.

I fully believe that they are giving Uptown Funk way more points than it actually has. I also feel like they made this rule so they won't have to deal with TOL or SUAD getting more weeks than UF.

Can anyone explain what this means, please? The total downloads before Complete My Album will still be used in the songs overall points, but it's Digital Sales rank is determined by the sales after Complete My Album. Lets say Adele sold 300K but 188K opted to Complete My Album. The 300K total would be still be used for the Hot 100 points but 112K would only count for it's Digital Sales rank due to that number only getting the single.

I'm hoping that UF survives a couple of more weeks so it has more chance to beat that stupid Party Rock Anthem off that #1 Song of 2010's perch

Not that it makes any difference, but it's weird. Have they done it before or is it some new policy?

It's because the Hot 100 reflects weekly popularity, and CMA, especially on album release week where a ton of preorders are finally being redeemed and charged doesn't reflect that. Unless fans/general audiences get sneaky and buy the song then immediately complete the album, usually all single purchases will be from new customers.

Yes- when an album is released, Complete My Album still treats tracks that were purchased individually, and not obtained as an "instant grat," as "returns."

So will they tell us how many "gross downloads" Hello sold?
Crazy that she still has "Sorry" at .40 on iTunes.
"Hello" is now 2015's 6th biggest digital seller.

This has been a point of frustration every time the "complete my album" effect rears its ugly head (Taylor, The Weeknd, Bieber, now Adele). Billboard almost always makes a point to explain the rule, but it can't take the extra 2 seconds to reveal how many raw sales counted toward the Hot 100.

Same Old Love better make top ten! >:( my favorite song from her... Damn, 5 weeks for Adele already? Goes to show how far behind I've fallen in the last few weeks of Hot 100 lol. I give 3-4 more weeks at #1 for Hello. Those first three massive weeks counting towards 2015 could very well cost Adele a 2016 year-end #1...similar to how The Monster could've been 2014 year-end top 10 if it was released like 3 weeks later...
