What are some single selections over the years that you disagreed/hated when they were announced, but by the end of the songs chart run, you changed your mind and were happy they were singles?
Big & Rich - "Holy Water" (I'm ashamed about it but when I was a kid, I did not like that this song was chosen as a single but by the time it peaked, it ended up becoming my favorite song they had done and have ever done to this day) Keith Anderson - "Every Time I Hear Your Name" (wanted "Plan B") Blake Shelton - "Nobody But Me" (wanted "On A Good Day") Trace Adkins - "All I Ask For Anymore" Parmalee - "Close Your Eyes" Rascal Flatts - "Riot" Dan + Shay - "Nothin' Like You"

"Girl Crush." I thought it was going to tank their momentum and not just because of the potential "controversy," but also just because it was a slower song and they'd already flopped with other ones before ("Kiss Goodbye," "Your Side of the Bed") on prior album eras. It's also not one of my favorites, though I do still like it. Clearly it connected with a lot of people though and became huge for them, so I definitely think it was the right choice.
