I really love Ultra Trance, granted I only have the first and third entries, but I think they're great! I never can find four in stores, did it not sell as well or something?

It could be quite the opposite. They may have shipped less or it sold more.

Has anyone heard either of these? Do they still tend to follow the pattern of a more vocal focused Disc One and music foccused Disc Two?

With DJ Riddler's new one, it appears to be mostly vocal at the beginning and a little more instrumental towards the end for the first disc. And for the second, it appears to be mostly vocal as well, with the exception of a couple.
