Does anyone know who owns the rights to their catalog now that MJ is gone? Is it his kids? Do they make money off this? Ive been really curious about this for the past few years.

The publishing catalog is owned by the Michael Jackson estate and Sony. I believe one of Michael's sons is of age and is receiving money from the publishing already, the other childrens' earnings probably go into a "trust fund" until they are of age.
The master recordings are owned by UMG/Capitol Records UK.

^ Thank you. Ever since 2009 I've been wondering who's been calling the shots on all the Beatle's releases.

Has anybody seen numbers on how they're doing on streaming? Their most likely demographic is hardly interested in streaming so I really can't see how this was that big of a deal
