Daughtry's releasing a greatest hits album on February 12 - presumably it'll have some new material on it too. (I can't help but read the title as "no wait, don't forget about us!" Aw.) https://www.instagram.com/p/BAThGafGQHP Some new titles on ASCAP too: "Band-Aid" (Daughtry, Toby Gad) "Before The Sun Goes Down" (Daughtry, Dave Bassett) "The Distance (Close By)" (Daughtry, Bassett)

Damn, a Greatest Hits album already? If christina can do it after three albums , they can do it after four . Hopefully if they tie this in with idol promotion it can be a decent seller instead of the nickelback greatest hits cd that was randomly released They've had about 10 successful singles . And then a few others that charted on hot ac I wonder if those will be included The title makes sense but at the same time seems like they are begging for people to remember them

Glad to hear about this. They've earned their stripes and definitely have enough hits for a greatest hits record. Stoked about the possibility of some new music too.

It makes sense with the Idol finale in April. Surely they will perform at a live show and there will surely be a single to promote.

Damn, a Greatest Hits album already? If christina can do it after three albums , they can do it after four . There are artists with only one or two albums that released a greatest hits collection with a few random soundtrack singles and one offs and then a couple new songs so this is not unusual. These are the singles that they released from their various albums. I would expect that most of the bigger hits should be on there plus the new songs. It's Not Over Home What I Want Over You Crashed Feels Like Tonight What About Now No Surprise Life After You September Renegade Crawling Back to You Outta My Head Start of Something Good Waiting for Superman Battleships

Love the cover, but I'm not a huge fan of greatest hits albums. I won't be re-buying the songs, but am definitely looking forward to the inclusion of new music.

My guess on the singles included:
1. It's Not Over 2. Home 3. Over You 4. Feels Like Tonight 5. What About Now 6. No Surprise 7. Life After You 8. September 9. Crawling Back to You 10. Waiting for Superman
They'll probably include one other single that wasn't big and probably like two new tracks. I would assume there's at least one because with Idol's last season, it would be a great promotional platform for a new single.

For sure, Battleships and WFS were some of his best singles ever. I wish he'd release another single like those and get it high up the charts.

I wonder if this will mark the end of their RCA deal.

Chris has said all along the next album is coming soon after greatest hits (end of 2016). They're already working on it. Would be great if they finally leave RCA, but doesn't seem so if they're planning album #6.

They've sold over 9 million albums. Aside from the 1st Album, RCA has done a terrible job for Daughtry especially in choosing singles & radio promo, which is everything.

If they leave RCA, for some reason I can see them winding up on Republic.

So far? That's more than a bit presumptuous.

So far? That's more than a bit presumptuous. Presumptuous maybe, but hardly a previously unseen title. P!nk - 'Greatest Hits... So Far!!!' Kelly - 'Greatest Hits: Chapter One' Carrie - 'Greatest Hits: Decade #1' And those are just from the top of my head. I love Daughtry, he's madly talented, but yeah, someone (I guess RCA) has screwed the single releases (and therefore, the whole era potential) ever since Leave This Town. It would be nice to see how things work out for them on a new label.

If Daughtry's contract is anything like Kelly's then a Greatest Hits album will not count towards the number of albums he is to put out. So I don't think he is doing this to finish the contract.

Was just about to say that - it's more likely that people from Idol, especially the earlier seasons, got similar contracts. The album following this is probably the fifth and final one.

Goo Goo Dolls are another one with a presumptuous title (and no hits since then?).

But are there any cases were an artist actually did a follow up? lol. I mean, im sure im missing some, but most of the time, the artists never release another set. so it is silly

Most artists flop after the first GH and no longer have enough hits for another one
