She is such a FORCE on stage that the lack of touring in her career is one of the reasons she didn't reach Janet level heights.

I can't believe how badly they ruined that album when she was coming off a pretty successful era with The Evolution and Fantasy Ride was actually an excellent album with so many good single choices to choose from. I remember High Price was supposed to be the lead single in mid-'08, what happened to that? Would have been way better than what they decided to go with later on (Go Girl & Never Ever). |

OK but Never Ever was a beautiful song and made me cry and now I will replay it. That guitar melody is so gorgeous and those chimes. Also, I forgot how great Turntables is. Everyone did their thing - Danja, CiCi, and Beat Her Down Brown. Then, there was Tell Me What Your Name Is. Even though Swedish Pond Scum produced it, I still wanna get my fuck on to it.

But I just thought it wasn't a good lead single, especially after Go Girl didn't get a great response either (even though I love that one too LOL). tamed09 I remember that LOL omg that was a mess but I didn't know that they stopped that being the lead single because of a mixed reaction. That's kind of dumb, especially since it was just a low quality loop. I think they should have just went on and released it anyway. What do you all think? |

In 2008 it def could’ve paid off. But most of it was recorded with Philana as her manager, when she switched to Johnny Wright things couldn’t be salvaged even though Jive had her go in and record more records that had just been given to her. That’s her least penned era.
