Music video is out now! Martina looks fantastic in this new video! I like the simplistic concept they went with for the video, too. First the darkness vs. the brighter days when you find love. Kind of seems to represent a meaning of hope and courage.

LOVE the video! New life goal: Throw a bucket of paint against a wall without having to worry about any repercussions... ![:giggle:](//storage.proboards.com/1258812/images/KYziZwTotWGtjvzyvGqr.gif) By the way, random trivia: Apparently the black boots she wore in this video were a pair that she got when filming the "Love's The Only House" music video!

Wow, that was a great video! It was simplistic but it was beautifully shot and executed wonderfully... plus she looks absolutely amazing. I love it and it only makes me enjoy this song even more! Can't wait for the album! ![](http://i.imgur.com/2smy76v.gif)

Beautiful video. I like this song so much now. It has grown on me exponentially since I first heard it.

1. “Reckless” 2. “It Ain’t Pretty” 3. “Just Around the Corner” 4. “Everybody Wants to Be Loved” 5. “Low All Afternoon” 6. “That’s the Thing About Love” 7. “The Real Thing” 8. “Diamond” 9. “We’ll Pick Up Where We Left Off” 10. “You and You Alone” Martina's new album, titled Reckless, is to be released on April 29th! (I know it was already posted in the albums thread, but I want to keep this thread updated with current information too.) It also looks like there will be a new tour kicking off. No surprises there! She's been touring non-stop literally the last 10 years... Here is a pretty good article about it, courtesy of The Boot.

I've finally been hearing this on the radio some (Nash anyway). Love it! It sounds fresh enough that it's not out of place on the radio but doesn't sound out of character for her at all.

I heard an ad for this song this morning on Bobby bones show, with Bobby actually doing the voiceover for the ad. Does this mean we're going to start hearing this on iHeart now?

Unless there's some new agreement reached with Nash Icon/BMLG, I doubt it; although, I haven't heard the ad you're talking about. To back up that point (at least for now), "Reckless" got just 1 add this week and is spinning on just 18 total stations -- all of them either Cumulus or independently owned. As long as the way Nash Icon is structured -- with their affiliation with Cumulus -- iHeartMedia will never get fully on board with any Nash Icon single. I'm curious to hear the ad though. Bobby's voice-over might just be a plug for a fellow artist, which he has done before.

Sorry to quote you in the wrong thread mrck, but I thought this would fit better here than in the upcoming albums thread. Wow, Martina could not have possibly timed her album release any better!! In the few weeks leading up to the 29th I don't see much that could potentially rob her of getting another #1 country album. She won't put up extravagant numbers or anything, but I think we could expect somewhere around 30k in the first week. I'll even give her closer to 35k depending on how good the promotion is in the next few weeks. Lonestar may have given her a run for her money back in the day, but now they are more-or-less forgotten. Charles Kelley may be able to sell that much, but I highly doubt he will sustain it into his second week, which would be what matters here. The only one that concerns me is Sturgill. His last album was a decent seller, and certainly brought him a lot of new fans and created hype for this new album. But still, his last album has only sold around 170k copies in the last 2 years, so I will hold out hope that he will not still be putting up numbers greater than 30k when his album is on its 3rd week of sales... Of course another threat may be if Chris Stapleton sees another resurgence in the wake of the ACMs. That is actually a very valid scenario... Joey + Rory will probably not be able to sustain their sales that long. So at this point I will say Martina's chances of a #1 album are looking very promising! With the biggest threat being Chris Stapleton. If she had waited even one week longer, though, she would be competing with Cole Swindell, and then Keith Urban very shortly thereafter... In other words, her chances would be ZILCH. Reckless more than likely has to hit #1 in its debut week, or it never will.

I think you mean Josh Kelley, Charles brother, since Charles album came out in February. I don't expect Josh to have big numbers considering it's a super small independent label release. I don't think radio is even playing his song, at least I haven't see it played on any of the stations I follow. But Martina's release date is in the middle of several big releases, I say that because May seems to be a big release month with Keith, Cole, Jennifer, Dierks, etc, but she should be fine and get the #1 album that week unless something happens or another album maintains it from a previous week or whatever.

Haha whoops, I guess I didn't read carefully enough! And I totally forgot Charles' album came out already... Oh well :) The fact remains that Martina is pretty much the biggest-name artist releasing in April, which bodes pretty well for her chances of another #1 album. Also, relating to the album, someone tweeted Martina asking if there would be a deluxe edition of Reckless with bonus tracks, and Martina responded that she can't give away all the surprises... I don't know about y'all, but that sounds like a yes to me! ![:d](http://images.proboards.com/cheesy.gif)

Not, that that decides it for me, but it is a bigger factor.

I heard this today, and it was so refreshing to hear Martina's sweet voice back on the radio!
This is a simple song, but it's a nice feel-good tune. :)

Fun fact everyone, "Reckless" is already eligible for recurrent status. And If the spin leaders are any indication it looks to be heading to recurrency.

It's fun, because I don't recall the last time a song was eligible for recurrent status only 4 weeks in the chart. It definitely looks like "Reckless" is going recurrent though with a lot of stations already slashing airplay!

I hope it doesn't (though I agree, it could). That would be pretty disappointing for her.

Martina did go recurrent on Billboard tonight. However, if Cumulus increases her airplay any time within the next couple of weeks, I'd bet that "Reckless" would re-enter.

Ooof... The untimely recurrence of this song is extremely disheartening :'( I hope you are right, jhomes87, and that "Reckless" manages to re-chart in the next couple weeks. It seemed to be doing pretty well by Nash Icon standards, flying right into the top 50 on Billboard in only its 3rd week on the chart. Nash Icon has seemed to be promoting every successive single release from their artists for a shorter amount of time, but I imagine they are hoping to push this one until at least when the album comes out...

Nash Icon doesn't promote this to outside Cumulus stations...I don't even think they have to push it since Cumulus should just have a built-in airplay standard. Big Machine should be the ones attempting to get outside Cumulus stations to spin it but that has proven unsuccessful. That front (pushing these Nash Icon singles to other stations) seems to be proving to get worse before it gets better. I do think this will re-enter as well but the Cumulus block will need to bump its spins up this week. It really is a sight to behold though. If a song is affiliated with one of the big radio conglomerates, the competing radio conglomerates treat it like its radioactive. If all you want is new music from these "legacy" artists and some radio airplay, then the partnership between Cumulus and BMLG is a good thing, but if you were hoping for top 10, top 20 or even top 30 singles, then this is just not going to work out for your expectations -- and I'm not saying that to you bboat11 -- just a generalization statement.

"Reckless" continues to hold steady at #52 on Mediabase. Same position as last week. Anyone think there's a chance it makes a return on Billboard tonight?
