Justin is slaying, I can't. The premiere male superstar of the decade, for sure.

Bruno don't feel like a superstar, no matter how big the hits he made. He feels like Pink. When he don't have any music out, there's nothing on him.

PILLOWTALK Day 1 sales estimate - 75-80k
Looks like full week will be 200k+, so with a little help from radio and streaming, it is looking at a Top-10 debut.

yep, 1 billion views was a hell of an achievement prior to 2015, and now every damn song is getting to 1B views lol I think it has a lot to do with the increasing Broadband reach in populous countries like China, India, Indonesia etc. For example, in India, number of broadband subscribers has increased from less than 50 million (2 years ago) to around 150 million now. And there is still a lot of room for growth. And Latin America. Artists like Prince Royce and Romeo Santos aren't getting videos with hundreds of millions of views because of the US alone

Yeah, I guess if leaking nudes of yourself and in general acting like an as* is part of being a superstar (and make no mistake, sadly at this point it is) then Bieber has that over Mars. But there's no question Mars has more #1s and has sold more albums. So, it depends which way you mean.

Trust me, Bruno Mars is well respected in the music industry and by a lot of people. Also, a lot of girls I know go gaga over him and talk about him a lot, and everyone loves to sing his songs. Plus, he's a Grammy favorite, he performed at the Super Bowl, and he's been one of the most successful and influential artists of the 2010's. Just because he's not on the tabloids, and covers of teen magazines doesn't mean he's not a superstar. Also, if you're consistantly selling albums, have a large fanbase (which he does) scoring #1 hits and overall having huge success on the charts, you can't not be considered a superstar. A music star is not or at least should not be about how much on the tabloids or media coverage you are, but about how many records you sell, how much success you have, how many people are supporting you and buying your music and how influential you are. Plus, he's more about the music than the spotlight anyway, you almost never hear about him aside from his music because he's making it clear that it's not what he's about, he's a very private person and doesn't allow himself to be exposed like that, music is what he cares about (the most tabloids he's gotten is that he's been arrested for drug issues, and that was years ago). Aside from singing songs, he's being a producer and songwriter, constantly doing live performances and lives a normal life, there's not much to the guy. So I consider him to be a music superstar because he is massively successful.

Bruno don't feel like a superstar, no matter how big the hits he made. He feels like Pink. When he don't have any music out, there's nothing on him. He really is. He's a safe, reliable Hot AC artist thru and thru. Justin Bieber however is way more of a celebrity and name-grabber. He might not have the total success of Bruno, but the kid is only 21 and he's just started really (and already has 6 #1 albums) He's got a good decade (or more) left of staying at the top of mainstream. Just imagine a 28 year old, buffed out Justin Bieber. The new Marky Mark. If you think he's selling well now, just wait lol.

I'm sure Bruno Mars is content with his status and what he has accomplished.

The newest Spotify charts have come in, and it looks like Pillowtalk has over a million streams when combining both versions. It also got a few million youtube views yesterday. Combined with all those sales, I'm thinking it's going for a top 10 debut if it keeps this up. Maybe even top 5, considering how unstable everything below #4 is right now.

But, in fact, Justin Bieber has sold far more albums than Bruno Mars. After this week's numbers come in, Bieber will have 3 #1s compared to Bruno's 4 (plus two featured). They both have massive tours - I'm guessing Bieber has the advantage there? Bruno is a Grammy darling and played the Super Bowl halftime show. Bieber is a A+ list celebrity. Justin has incredible momentum right now so it will be interesting when Bruno puts out his 3rd album.

Hmm...there's not really anything starting out with Work that screams possibly big hit. Could we be eventually looking at her 14th #1?

I remember this time last year Party Rock Anthem's video was the 3rd most watched of all time, and now it's bumped down to the 17th. Streaming now is just crazy. yep, 1 billion views was a hell of an achievement prior to 2015, and now every damn song is getting to 1B views lol Wait.. Are you Spectrum Pulse from YouTube?

I think "I Don't Like It, I Love It" would have been much bigger than #43 if it had featured anyone other than Robin Thicke. Is that you in your avi? You're hot. Ha ha thanks, yes that's me from this past December.
