Yikes.
I don’t know if that was a good idea but it sounded like she legit started crying...in any case, this definitely now FUELS an issue between her and Cardi now and it sucks. I know which interview she’s referring to with Cardi but in all honesty, what Cardi actually said wasn’t even that bad. She literally just said the verse she said was different, there were no actual bad words said or exchanged, and if there were, this would have been an actual feud a long time ago because everyone saw that interview.
EDIT: Both songs are absolute fire, Barbie Tingz is giving me everything. Hopefully this mess won’t overshadow the entire point of today.

IMO, I can totally understand the annoyance towards Quavo if anything, but Cardi said literally nothing wrong. Sounds like she’s grouping them all together. There’s been rumors about her feeling like every upcoming female has to bow down to her and this definitely fuels that notion and I could see this honestly backfiring on her. Radio DJs are going to light her up.... she actually comes across as the bad guy. |

Just caught a quirp of the Cardi question on The Shade Room, and I totally get what she's saying. Cardi was tweeting and deleting that she had her verse before even hearing Nicki's and vice versa. (this was it: http://instagram.com/p/BhercqBgSkg ) She fell into that trap of the media,other rappers,(possibly Atlantic) pitting her against Nicki. You can tell that someone was in her ear everytime she was asked about how Motorsport came about. And of course everyone was gonna eat up she wasn't in the same scenes with Cardi. Hopefully they will talk it out behind closed doors. But with being around Offset(he unfollowed her right before/after Motorsport), Idk if that's gonna happen. She STILL gave props to Cardi so.. And if Quavo said that s**t, he's really not s**t. Then again, he's still a street dude, so they really don't care about these music/personal relations, so I'm sure that was a reality check for Nic. |

Some other tidbits from the interview:
She started really working on this album in December...these were two songs she wanted to put out bc her fans have been waiting so long.
Will be touring this year and is currently shooting a documentary that will address a lot of stuff.
Is clearly still hurt over Meek.
The instrumental played in her scene in the Mercedes commercial is her song produced by Mike Will.
Wouldn’t reveal what features are on the album.
Album does have a title.
*My* guess is that the album will drop in Q4.

Oh man, it’s so incredible to hear Nicki sounding EXACTLY like Kim did a few years back when she was talking about Nicki, except Cardi never threw shots at Nicki like Nicki did to Kim, over and over and over again. Crazy how roles change.

Feeling Chun Li more than Barbie Tingz right now, but they both are good heaters. Fire, and finally something after the absent, can't see what else she has up her sleeve.
But there clearly isn't beef, she's just upset that Cardi went with the anti-Nicki narrative, and Quavo/Migos just let it play out. No Beef.
